It's a spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld that was Kickstarted about five years back with the tagline that a lot of Kickstarter games like Yooka Laylee, Mighty Number 9, etc, etc, have tried of having had "the main developers" of the game it's a successor to involved in it. Footage shown of it so far has been very underwhelming.

I have just seen som alpha footage which i a bit janky no suprises there. But the gameplay reminds me a lot about Deus Ex in that you decide yourself how to tackle problems and there is a million ways to do it, because the world is a simulation.

Also, to be more on topic, this game just doesn't look fun. I played Thief 1, Deus Ex, Styx, Dishonored, etc. I'm tired of stealth games taking place in magical fairy land, and I'm especially tired of such games taking place only in dark areas. From what I've seen, the ONLY setting this game has is underground, so expect no variety, and torches everywhere. Also, the enemy variety is a bit scary - and that's not in a good way. Skeletons, scalies? Is that it? Nevermind the fact that those are the most boring enemies you can think of in a stealth setting, but they look like Elementary School Halloween designs. All I can say is that I expected as much from nu-Warren Spector. He drank the kool-aid some time after SS2, just like the maker of the original Deus Ex did.

It plays well, but the environments are kinda uninspired and the physics are janky. It can be compared to Deus Ex in terms of gameplay, and really isn't much like Ultima Underworld at all.
