Not really. Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight are without a doubt the core Kirby cast, and Bandana Dee is really just now becoming his own character. The only other Kirby cast members that are as recurring as those are Whispy Woods and Kracko, but they really couldn't work as characters. The only other options are Adeleine (Only appeared in 3 games ignoring compilations), Marx (2 ignoring compilations and remakes), and that's it. And Dark Matter especially ain't getting in since Sakurai doesn't like adding Kirby from Kirby games he didn't direct. Which is a barrier for Bandana getting in.
I feel like Kirby is like Zelda in that they got the core cast in Smash fairly early on, and everyone else just isn't as prominent enough to request as a Smash character, as opposed to a situation like DK or Metroid, where there were major characters not in Smash as a character.

I just think Banjo was shit. It has three problems, the most major of which was the speed of the game. Moving around any given stage was a slow fucking chore. Getting from point A to B was boring and whereas in most other platformers, I can move faster in some way, Mario 64 being the best since there were numerous ways and you moved naturally fast, Banjo didn't have any of that. The other two issues I had were the characters being quite annoying, and the stage settings being uninspired, save for maybe Click Clock Wood. I never touched Tooie, but I've seen the stages and have no fucking idea how anyone could find that size acceptable when BK's stages were already slow as hell.
It's a problem with Conker as well, unfortunately, but Conker had a bit more charm to it to make up for that at least somewhat. It wasn't as bad in DK64 but the backtracking and character switching made that moot.

Not really but I like Lora, both her design and her moveset potential (we've seen a lot of footage from the expansion, she has mostly punches/kicks and a whip, she even has aerials including captain falcon's knee) and Jin is her husband so it'd be likely we'd get the two of them together just like it's very unlikely that we get Pyra without Rex.
Pyra/Mythra step over the fanservice design line in a way that no other smash character ever has though, they're both in way sexier outfits than Zero Suit or Bayonetta and ones that very, very blatantly emphasize their breasts which would make any attempt to nerf them extremely obvious to the point where they just wouldn't look right without them and it'd cause a bigger fan outrage than not including them in the first place. Rex without them would be equally stupid, he'd just be a generic anime swordsman character, at least Pyra gives him a neat ice climbers style gimmick.
Of course KOS-MOS would be the best overall Xenorep just because she has limitless movepool potential and T-elos can easily be an echo provided they draw on Xenosaga for moves instead of their blade weapons in XC2, though they'd probably use their designs from 2. But they have their own issues in the fact that they're fucking Mary Magdalene and Nintendo typically avoids touching anything that even remotely talks about Western religion with a 10 foot pole due to the importance of their family friendly image in the US market. Even in XBC2 they localized "Kami" to "Architect".
I think Malos probably hits the happy medium as a rep in that he's pretty iconic, is the main antagonist in both 2 and its expansion, well liked by fans, fits with the bad guy trend they've been doing and has a less blatantly animu fanservice style than most of the other options. He also has a Monado like Shulk so he's very easily recognizable as being part of the same franchise whereas the others wouldn't be due to the divergent design direction between the old Saga characters, 1, X and 2.

It was a waste of time and resources with a shit story. It should've taken the logical path and just be a Rayman x Mario crossover against the Rabbids. Instead we get some super genius gamer girl intro for some weird reason as a cheap way to start up the plot despite that Rabbids could already travel to other worlds. And Rabbids already had a nack for cosplay, mutations and costumes, so they could still go into Mario land and adapted to the environment. Awakenings story is decent, though it starts to burn and die once the robin focused second half begins.

Pair-Up is a shit mechanic that breaks the game and every 3ds era fire emblem has shit map design outside of conquest.
The return of skills is nice, and the focus debuffing and buffing shit were cool, pretty much the only things i can give credit to awakening and fates for.
S-rank supports are shit as long as the writing is shit(and as long as they overflow the game with a shit ton of them, the quality will probably decrease), it does make sense with the added multiplayer stuff however; so it has that going for it.
The fact that shadows of valentia is really good outside of its maps(which you can't really blame them for, as its a remake of a game with shit maps) gives me hope.
Based off of the trailer three houses is actually built off of shadows of valentia(gaiden magic system, weight, combat arts), with the notable added features being weapon durability, normal inventory and skills;
based off of that alone i have a bit of hope for the game. I can't wait to be disappointed

I've been thinking lately, no one ever really made a perfect collectathon.
Mario hard the best movement mechanics, but Rare's games had way charm and character.
BK has good level design and second to second gameplay, but lacks when it comes to setpieces like bossfights.
Tooie and DK64 have some great bossfights and setpieces like controlling a giant statue or the game temporaily morphing into a first person shooter, but basic level design suffered.
Mario Sunshine might be the best overall, when it comes to having a good mix of everything, but that game just felt like it needed more content and more time in development.
The fact that a decent challenge is quite hard to come by in any of these games also presents a problem if you want to enjoy them past the age of eight.
Seems like there's a gap here for someone to come along and combine everything that worked about these games, but as far as I know, it has not been done.

As a small note, considering smash bros has never had any non current fire emblem characters;
there's a pretty low chance that old characters will ever get in without their games being remade or something.
Leif was intended to be put in melee before roy, maybe that'd be enough of a reason to put him in.

maybe he could have electrical effects on some of his attacks and marths up-B(or roys) and a non-durability version of robins neutral-b.

You know i just realized Celica could work as a robin echo, the lack of durability in gaiden/echos gives her an obvious choice of a major difference no?

You could change Nosferatu into Aura, Aura kinda looks like the smash version of Nosferatu at the beginning(you could probably make the beginning hitbox a yellow/green version of it);
though the actual "attack" part doesn't, it could probably just explode once it grabs someone instead of the constriction of Nosferatu.
The rest of robins moves are just anima, which Celica can use.
You could rename the side-b to Ragnarok(it'd make more sense if the idea of using the custom move was used).
Another idea i just realized is that you could change her Up-B to the sm4sh one and make it stronger and then call it Excalibur.
