There's tons of ways for new and returning players to gear up these days. The easiest thing for you to do right away is buy a nox weapon, preferably old world (the ones without the NT in the name) because all you need to grind that is meseta and grinders. Once you have your nox, focus on filling out your bingo card. Doing this gives you an item that you can trade to an NPC for a rei series 13 star of your choice, which will hold you over in relevant content until you get a more powerful weapon.

Like you're asked to do some time-consuming task like killing 15 rare versions of rare monsters and as reward you get some menial shit like 10k exp, 1.5k meseta and a fucking grinder.

Techer usually subs hunter, fighter, or maybe braver or summoner. Your primary means of offense is a combination between wand whacking mobs gathered together with zondeel to death and using stage one charged heavy hammer on single targets. Uncharged heavy hammer is used for a gap closer and free super armor for a few seconds after it ends. Full charged heavy hammer is only used as a setup PA as the DPS is worse than the first charge level. During all of this you refresh buffs on the party and toss out zanverse/megidverse/resta as needed. You can also throw up ramegid zero for some passive damage if you have the spare pp and time. The only pure caster is force although some variants of techer can use them to supplement their damage options.
I have mained techer since ep1, it has only recently become decent. Feel free to ask any other questions about the class.

68ab40 No.15426490
>>15425977
>hunter
One of the best subs. As a main class all of its weapons are decent enough but none of them will top the dps charts. The biggest problem with it is there is not enough SP to make one skill tree ideal for both main and sub.
>ranger
Once upon a time it was a mandatory part of any MPA. Ever since the WB nerfs it has fallen a bit out of favor. Technically it can output some decent damage very clunky and painful to play.
>fighter
Very solid overall, it also very fragile if you want to maximize your damage until level 85. Be careful how when you use limit break.
>braver
I used to like it but ever since they removed the hit stop on katana it feels weightless. Has a skill that gives it 20s of compete invincibility which ends in a high damage AOE shockwave. Bow is a bit clunky.
>techer
Techer once had by far the worst damage in the game. They had zero PAs and were almost entirely reliant on their melee attack for damage. This worked fine for mobs which could be zondeeled but for bosses and bulky, zondeel resistant mobs techer had few options. Occasionally someone would discover a niche weapon that allowed techer to boss okish however not only were these weapons rare or expensive but they also quickly became outdated. Over the years its gotten various buffs and is finally in a decent place. Nowadays, while it is no DPS juggernaut it is capable of keeping up. Something like a Te/Fi is your best bet if you want a viable hybrid.
>force
Force mains will tell it's underpowered because it no longer melts the entire screen. Fuck Force.
>gunner
Great single target damage and at 85 one of the best ways to mob too. Also can fly.
>hero
Broke the game at its release, less broken now by comparison but still really strong. The backlash from this is the main reason sega has been scrambling to buff the other classes.
>summoner
Another class that was once broken. During ep4 the general strategy was to get multiple potatos and snackbar them into the enemies. It's nerfed a bit now but still fairly brain dead. Nowadays I see summoners using more pets. Low skill floor as long as your build your pets right. Maybe low ceiling too?
>I hope I didn't forget anyone.

If you want to mix spells n shiet there's Techer, Bouncer and Hero.
Techer is mostly support class with simple melee, good support skills and poor but still usable spells. Most of the time you job will be to make sure others do damage while wandsmacking with occasional offensive spell.
Hero requires 3 lvl75 classes and while it can cast spells most people don't do that and don't use any other weapon than hurrdurr sword as it's sub-optimal, so it's kinda meh.
Bouncer will be getting even more shit fixed so it might finally become not-shit haha, as if actually with no gear element reset removed it might already be playable. That was pretty much the case at the beginning if Episode 5. There was a fairly long period where if you brought up the "nearby players" menu, you'd see maybe one or two people who weren't on hero. Hero was so far beyond anything the other classes could do that the game started bleeding players like mad. Sega has spent the past year scrambling to bring the other classes up to where people don't feel obligated to run raids as hero. It's only been recently that the other classes don't feel like playing with half your potential.

>Standard single-target combo is 2PA/tech followed by vinto for maximum damage.
>Vinto resets gear to 0 which used to reset weapon element too.

Most of the time you have to reposition after using vinto thus you don't combo into tech so you either had to use a shitty PA which got no bonus from Elemental Stance or a shitty technique that got no charge time reduction from ring, one way or another it was shitty damage. Now without element reset you don't have to deal with that shit while non-tech JB users can ignore techs altogether. It took sega only a few years to fix the core problem Elemental Burst is still there though.
Another shit that's getting fixed soon is lack of tracking on travel/gapclose PA with long start-up and huge traveling distance, you can miss against a barely moving target even 10 meters away.
JB Bo is fun to play but it has been less than useless since it was introduced, many treating it as a running joke by sega.
