Is it possible to access the PSN store on PSP and buy/download stuff?
4f0df2 No.15378787
Are you actually this retarded?
also there is no need to use a PSP with the Vita existing unless you want to save some money

You're the retarded one, buddy.

You can download psp games on PS3 and transfer them to the PSP That's your only option now, but I don't know why you would do that when the PSP is piss easy to hack

Best use I ever got out of my PSP was softmodding my xbox.

Dude, why bother? Just softmod the thing, put some emulators on it and enjoy a handheld that is actually godlike.

The Vita is just an upgraded PSP in nearly with added analog sticks.
Adrenaline is a perfect PSP emulator.
You can download all games including PSP, PS1, and Vita games natively from a hacked one instead of giving money to Sony
You're retarded

Softmod the fucker and don't look back.
I just ordered a shitload of new parts to fix up my old PSP. New screen, battery, power jack, power switch, battery/charger and sd -> mem stick adaptor. Looking forward to restoring it to it's former glory.

I gotta do that when I have some spare money. The cap that goes over the battery is busted and I can't use it now because the battery will fall out. I wonder if I could buy a part like that loose.
I never use the thing anymore though.

I've never cracked mine open either, but I've always wanted to rice the fuck out of my PSP. Always seemed like it'd be fun to do.
Apparently it also isn't too easy to fuck it up either.

Also heads up fuckers
Unlike the Vita PSP doesn't check screen voltage, so as long as you get one that the battery can handle, you can get a fuckin BIG SCREEN

You can buy PSP parts on amazon pretty easy. I think you could easily grab a battery cover, just know your model (1000/2000/3000 etc.)

Total came to about 80$ or so with shipping, which isn't really much better than buying one off ebay and rolling the dice. All the pawn places in town overvalue them sadly and used game stores are a crapshoot or have old 1000/2000 models.
>>15379268
I checked the ifixit repair guides for it before making the investment. All you need is a spudger and a small screwdriver, which I already have, and as long as you're not an idiot and keep your screws tidy, it's pretty straightforward to do.

Not at this point, though as far as I'm aware if you have a PS3, you can transfer compatible games over that way. But as has been stated already, if you softmod the thing, you can pirate for it.

Just be careful as there's a few types of screws and there's some very fragile ribbon cables.

This thread reminds me of hundreds of idolm@ster and PSP Monster Hunter DLCs that haven't been cracked and leaked even after the store got closed. They're lost forever. Goddamnit.

Pretty sure you could download stuff from the JP PS3 PSN and transfer it over to the PSP, assuming both were on the same account (and the person archive/ripping the content willing to be the one dropping that much money). Or do you mean the DLC itself is gone now as well?

Pretty sure they're gone now, none of them show up in PSNDL. But then I never checked PSN for the last 3 years, so I could be wrong.
PSP Im@s DLCs require a special DRM program to be activated at certain point, that adds another layer to the overall challenge.
That reminds me, Dream C Club DLCs probably are gone too.

No but you can still buy and download games via the Sony store. But come on PSP is hacked thoroughly.

Just look it up, shit's piss easy. Last time I checked all you need to do is drop some files in the root folder and you're golden.
That reminds me how I hacked my PSP1000 with ChickHEN, putting some corrupted(?) image on it and opening/closing it repeatedly until it worked its voodoo magic and broke it open. Fun times.
Anyone remember pandora batteries?

All the replacement parts I'm buying have their own ribbon cables attached already. Also, most of the repairs I'm doing are top-layer shit. Replacing the screen/power jack/power switch is all pretty easy as long as you take your time with it.
