Lets not lie here. It was good game but awful at limiting your resources. It was way too easy but also twice as fun once you gave yourself unlimited mana.
It is same story for Dishonored. Entire game system is brought down by limited resources. If you don't want to waste it expecting some danger later on, it just means you only use teleport through most of the game.

There is rat swarm as silent version of direct damage spell. Game gives you gun and crossbow to do damage over distance. You also have knife instead of the staff to hit people with.

Well, there is an isekai story where a gun otaku goes to the fantasy world and makes guns out of magic shapeshifting metal (that solidifies when set). Yes, he about blows his hand off trying to fire his first shitty revolver, but then saves the day with an AK, and makes an R700 for his vampire fiance who recites the rifleman's creed as a mantra. But yeah, your idea would be more fun, in execution. Closest I've seen to that was in Eat Lead, you fight a bootleg Cloud/Sephiroth character who uses magic and menus, while you use guns. we have our big ass monster who takes a swipe at the arena, so now im thinking of a directional gust of wind, or maybe if thats too boring a flaming gust of cutting wind.
where do the claw swipes come from? they come from the sides usually, so maybe you can cast it in any direction to coerce enemy movement, or maybe it can only come from the sides.
so what other angles can you attack from? above and below. so an erupting boiling geyser, or a rock spike. or maybe lightning or a shooting star from the sky.
as for fun things from other games i really liked the remote slayer missile in perfect dark, and i also liked the multi jump attacks in paper mario/mario rpg. so what if there was a bouncing, remote controlled lightning ball?

Technology and magic occupy the same slot, both mechanically and lore wise. They can coexist in a game, but that requires a balancing act of explaining why both are equally valid options through whatever your input is. Unless they are a focal point of your game the option to include both of those is redundant and thus harmful unless extra work is expended.

Technology vs magic is a standard conflict cliche that's pretty much equal to religion vs science so I don't care about it, since it's simply an instrument. When paired together science has simply an upper hand at creating interesting scenarios, where with magic you'd have to draw the entire system from scratch to make it comparable and with that it might not even be magic at that point. It's the imbalance and an absolute requirement for fixing the consequences of that is what makes it improbable for people to go for in the first place and the literal meaning of the idea itself.

There's a cheezy old 90s mango where one of the protags is exactly this. She's isekai'd along with a tank and a huge supply of weapons/ammo in the cargo compartment, although to deal with the tank's need for fuel, they figure out how to run it off local faire, and the tank later gets powered by the soul of a ghost kitten that haunts it.
