Forming netherlands as lubeck could be hand waved as simply the merchants ruling the hansa moving the base of operations because of the climate change moving the herring from the baltic to the english channel that historically saw the fall of the hansa and the rise of the netherlands.
I mean saying netherlands forming prussia is blobbing could be valid but not if you hand wave it away as the Leader doing a coup and that conquering prussia was good for trade. Also forming a colonial empire as netherlands is literally historical.

EU4 public MP does however suffer from balance of power issues caused by passive, opportunistic and/or retarded players.
Mainly Austria gets smashed by ottos and France and then the hre is gobbled up by Poland, France, Ottomans, England and Sweden. Which results in most of the time 5 other players in the hre being killed.
This is caused because some players are too retarded to help other players in order to keep the balance of power.

At the very least Admin mana is still very important. Blobbing takes a lot, the admin ideas are better than most of the diplo and especially mil ideas (turn on the setting allowing you to take multiple admin groups in a row), and you can build Irrigation Canals with admin which is super powerful.

Revoking privileges is kind of a bad idea early on. It just makes them want the privilege back sooner (because they are powerful and expect lots of privileges) and stability is more important than mana (as you obviously understand). What you want to do is lower autonomy, since corruption is from # of privileges * the power of the estate. If you have 0% autonomy everywhere estates have virtually no power and therefore virtually no corruption.
Therefore I recommend trying to stay in +3 stability (and you'll bank points beyond that so any loss of stability lets you immediately regain it). From there you get the admin policies for centralization and -autonomy, and demoting greater noble to lower nobles means much less autonomy for the provinces that flip.

Roads are kind of a joke, harbors are so, so much better. Crossing the Mediterranean west to east takes less CE time than crossing the Alps from Rome. Also I recommend never investing in education and only investing in court to level 2 or 3, maybe 4.

It's pretty lonely being the only chosen in a sea of Miaphysite Christians, and basically all our neighbors hate us. The biggest threat is the Kingdom of Abyssinia who will probably kill us if we don't do something. So in the interests of not being murdered by the goyim I'm gonna pretend to be their friend.

Therefore, I recommend revoking every time you are at +1 and are nearing +2 - that way, a stability hit won't hit you as much (since you'll immediately get it raised) and you won't waste large amounts of time waiting for stability to tick up.

You'll want to build further up along the Nile (prefferably to the centre of the area you plan to conquer) and build it there, with a good road leading towards the coast.

They just want more privileges though, especially as you get bigger (they'll ask more frequently the more pops you have). If you get most of your country to 0 autonomy then it won't matter, almost all of the penalties from estates go down when they lose power.
You can certainly trade some privileges for others, since certain ones are basically irrelevant except for the corruption while others suck. But at the very least wait until you've reduced autonomy to start revoking, since at 5% power you'll almost always only lose 1 stability vs. losing 2 or 3 at higher estate power.
My overall strategy is: don't worry too much about greater noble privileges (who cares how many privileges they have when you've demoted 95% of them to lessers?), Burghers don't matter much to begin with since they are low power (give them the one that increases urban production at least), for lesser nobles just let them have the ones where they get tax and manpower breaks, since w/ low autonomy it won't be too much to begin with.
+3 stability is just great overall because the -revolt risk, -autonomy, and other effects keep you really stable and powerful in the early game when you want to blob and have 90 centralization but don't have a half dozen admin idea groups to keep revolts down. I've played the "revoke at +1 w/ 150 stab points ready" strategy and it's just too frustrating when you roll a bad stability hit or disaster or w/e and need to swat down a million rebels.

IMO, just don't conquer too far inland. The cost to build roads compared to the very minimal CE is very skewed at the moment. Roads should really be buffed.
If you want to blob then target the areas that you can make trade companies in, they get a huge modifier to prevent revolts along with the usual merchant and trade zone dominance..

The amount of cash required to increase in level is just too high. I'm not sure how you're supposed to reach the highest levels of each. Be an OPM city-state with 150 development or something?

Our starting stats aren't too horrible. 0 Diplomacy isn't a big deal, good stewardship and martial are what I look for in rulers. Stubborn and Arbitrary mean -10 vassal opinion though, and since I want to live as long as possible stressed's -1 health is something to get rid of if possible.
Succession is Agnatic Seniority. Not a bad choice in general but for our ruleset where everyone plays one character it will suck with a big dynasty, where everyone starts inheriting as a 50 year-old.
Our Half-Brother owns another duchy so arranging an accident for him will be our top priority. Subverting our Christain Lord's position will also be an objective. Also looking to amass some tech points for our long-term benefit, so I'll take Scholarship focus first and work on Hermeticism.

It's great with friends, like playing Risk. MP has issues, because autists have google docs full of rules and other autists still try and abuse them. MP was the only way to enjoy HoI4, anyone could roll over the braindead AI but against other players you could still have a decently fun WW2 sim.

Nah they started off as good goy Fine Gael but after Collins got v& by his own guys the splits started. There were always pinko cliques but the power vacuum left on the anti treaty side after De Valera switched sides gave them room to breathe which they took advnatge of to ASSUME CONTROL by the 60's, there were no less than half a dozen splits afterwards (Real IRA, Official IRA, Provisional IRA, Irish National Liberation Front, Continuity IRA, Irish National Liberation Army just to name a few), the troubles were as much a desperate attempt to stay relevant as they were a armed struggle.
Basically after all the prominent /ourguys/ died off the reds stepped up and subsequent fucked it all up, they've been dominant since then since no one wants to touch the shrinking shitpile of a cause they've curated since.
