OP, you answered your own question with a question though your thin layer of sarcasm. It takes no talent or even effort to actually write original game reviews. What this guy did was try and cheat the system and his only crime is that he got caught. Game reviewers everywhere think so high and might of themselves because they get monetized and payed to literally sit on their ass to play video games and write what they thought of it. Being a game reviewer is easier than being a movie reviewer because modern AAA trash is so shallow that it basically boils down to either "Its good because I had fun" and "Its bad because I didn't have fun". At least with movies there are different things to criticize from acting to plot to tone. In games none of these things really matter, just "presentation" AKA lots of slow pans showing off large flashy environments. I'm sick of people writing novel-sized essays on video games thinking they're the next literary decontructive genius

Have you watched Ross Scot's Deus Ex review? Because writing/showing game reviews can use a lot of talent, especially if the guy playing/writing knows his shit and can be objective and bring points to the table and compares the game to other games and see the pros and cons.
