Evolution is terrible speaking from someone that played it as a kid. Evo 2 is only slightly better, just play the Dreamcast version if you want to suffer through it.

The first one is a mystery dungeon game. How much fun you'll have with it is dependent on how much you can tolerate random bullshit happening to you.
The second does away with the randomness, but makes up for it with loads of grinding, as I recall.

The first omne is an alright dungeon game, with procedurally generated maps. The story of the game doesn't take itself too seriously and the monster designs are pretty nightmarish for what is supposed to be a game for kids. Give it a try, its a decent rpg, for a system that didn't get that many.

nulldc is so far the best emulatot i have for dc games, I also have demul and redream. Redeam can't upscale but it runs every game out of the box. Same with nulldc but here i can upscale. demul is somewhat ok.

either you have a shitty disc drive or you're burning too fast. Have experience with both, shit disc drives are just fucked, can't do anything about it. Get a new one, external, USB based is usually fine. Burning too fast is easy to address, start with the lowest possible speed, see if it works, if so, you're good to experiment with a little higher. If not, it's a shit drive.
