I barely played wow, and mostly from private/hack servers (the most one I played was a Wrath of the lich king one that auto leveled you up to the maximun level), and it was mostly to explore stuff (Classes, cities, ares, etc…), and to raid other areas of the opposing faction. And it was a temporal enjoyment.
Is there any point to play Wow now for these reasons? Because being free to play, althought 20 level max only, could be interesing to at least to temporaly play to explore stuff. But then again, everytime i see only worse changes happening to the game…Then again, I I want to play Wow again, better do it in private servers, so to not give Blizzard shekels & subs, plus there are servers with fast leveling & other stuff.

I understand your frustration, that you might not like the game, and feel it could be much better if only the Lowest common Denominator would quit ruining your experience, but there's a reason that they provide the highest level of financial incentive to Blizzard. That's a weird economic quirk of mass appeal, and trying to Balance with the hardcore fans that make and grow a Medium, but of most of the modern Mega-Devs, I feel like Blizzard at least puts a little effort into trying to sprinkle things in to make it some not just Whales get something out of the game.

At least on NA side, 4 of the biggest servers ended up breaking for a while, those being Illidan, Stormrage, Area 52, and Tichondrius. Beyond that, it's been pretty good. I was expecting as much, given how well Legion launch went. I think they genuinely learned from the shitshow that was the first few days of WoD.

I haven't touched WoW since early Cata, but I take automatic group-finding and cross-server groups/raids are still in? Because that really was what caused the decline of the game in my eyes. If you have an MMORPG, you need that social element.
If all you need to do in order to find a group is to hit a shitty button, the social aspect is lost immediately, and then you might as well play a shitty single-player RPG with online support like the Infinity Engine games. Horde players would try to jump to Horde-majority servers for an advantage on certain BGs, alliance to Alliance-majority. The mercenary system, while neat in concept, was far too little to late and gimping the group finder was not the right decision. The Proudmoores are effectively a Monarchy however they must act with consent of all four houses or the at the least a majority.

I don't know the official reason, but apparently it was because of burst macros in PVP. No one knows who Blizzard is pandering to with these changes other maybe a small minority of faggot on their forums that get assblasted in PVP.
This is what happens when a game like WoW has no competition. They can do whatever the fuck they want. Much like War Thunder and Gaijin, when a game has no competition the game always degrades and they try to milk the player out of his money as much as possible.
instead of making the game more fun and interesting for more sales, they focus on business models to keep the player subbed longer. The time gated content is an example of this, along with the RNG bullshit model legion had.
