Three years ago today, /v/ found Uncommon Time.
Uncommon Time is a shitty tumblr rpg, filled with all of the bullshit you'd expect from there. So why play it? Because the author created a character who was designed to be the exact opposite of everything she believed, she created her own antithesis, and ended up creating a character who is essentially /v/ incarnate, the only sane voice in a cacophony of madness. We play this game every year for Teagan, unintentionally one of the best characters ever created.
The stream will be at https://www.smashcast.tv/Thassil and will start at ~6PM EST (approx. 2.5 hours from now). I'm probably gonna go for 6-8 hours, and hope to be done in three days or so. There will be VODs if you have to miss any parts of the stream. And yes, we're doing the Duet ending.
For veterans of the stream, I'm glad your back. For newcomers, you better get comfy because this will be the ride of a lifetime.

Just checked my recordings of the stream from both, smashcast and twitch, and man, is smashcast a burning pile of shit.
For whatever reason they bloated the 360p stream up to 3,3mbit/s, so no wonder the stream was shtting itself for every other guy.
For comparison, on twitch we got full 720p with 30fps in 3,7mbit/s.

kilobyte would be denoted with a capital 'B'
And yes, in theory the bitrate is decoupled from the resolution.
It depends entirely on the compression/used econding of the video and other stuff.
But since both streams are using the same encoding (h264) and we know that the smashcast stream looked like shit and the twitch one was pristine (the chat on smashcast was just a blurred mess), then having both videos use the same bitrate is a joke on smashcasts part.

I have a theory Teagan wasn't always the bad guy in all this. I have no proof of this, but it seems like Teagan was originally the voice of reason (she still is just roll with this) but at some point during rewrites Feral got way into tumblr shit and things shifted. I only grinded once in Duet (to buy Teagan the best armor in the second town) and ended up over leveled for the rest of the game.
