So the game got revealed and it showed an intro that suggested a 60's britpop inspired Bioshock style game.
Then it entered early access and the goyim that paid for it discovered that it was in fact a procedurally generated survival memegame.
Naturally after said meme genre already died out by this point folks were let down and interest evaporated. Development went dark and it was put back till this year.
Now its come out and people are talking about a story and how the game is very bad but i can't find a concrete answer on what the fuck they frankensteined this game into.
Is it now a shitty bioshock lite? a procedural version of dishonoured with picket fence teeth in everyones gobs?
I like to consider myself up to date with most vidya outside of shit like fortnite and other mainstream only trashfires but the media tells me nothing about what this game now is.

It's still a procedural survival, with some emphasis on disguise suspicion, and infiltration. People don't attack you on sight like one of the trailers made it look like. It's just done clumsily and without much substance story wise.

I watched about the first hour of gameplay for story mode and it seems very Bioshock/System Shock style, though I did see a map at some point that looked fairly big so it might be sort of open world, not sure. Its got the standard "find thing to give you the background story" that those games have too, its letters and diaries.
The fact that its outside, with grass and trees and shit, instead of inside a bunch of metal ship corridors or the halls of rapture makes me want to try it out, but yeah, it seems to be a -Shock Lite

There seems to be sidequests alongside main quests, and it seems you leave the city at some point. I like the voicework, too. It looks worth a playthrough.

But that eliminates the entire purpose of the mask. It was supposed to prevent anyone from emoting or showing anything other than a fixed, permanent smile. They would have done a better job had they just half-assed it and not done any facial animations at all. Shit, the logo for the game is even a mask breaking at the corners of the mouth because it cant' smile anymore, but that wouldn't happen with a flexible mask. This is so fucking dumb it's giving me a headache.
