When you've got limited metal supply (no immigrants with furnace skills and few in general so you can't just make 10 smelters) and aren't playing with gates (so you have to defend against everything with just traps and your military) what priorities should differing armor and weapons fall under?
I assume it's something like axes (as I understand it they're middle of the road for damage/anti armor capabilities)>spears (better against armor)>helmets>breastplates>greaves>gauntlets>chainmail>boots, but this is mostly guesswork
