ITT: post games that have you locked down in a space station with horrors crawling in the background, be they demon spawns, mass replicating aliens, or bat shit crazy AIs.

And yes, they must be in space stations and such, not like Super Metroid where you are alone in an unknown planet. I am talking about games where you are exploring a station that has gone horribly wrong, finding the victims and what media leftovers they passed. Please NEVER EVER mention Metroid Other M

Well, you don't explore the planet and the game takes place almost entirely in the installation and in hell when its not. I think there's like 1-2 very brief instances where you even fight anything while on the surface.

This, really any good Alien-related games, like the first three AvP games. Speaking of Doom and Metroid, the also highly Alien-like Marathon has a lot of this feeling in its more horror genre moments, strengthened even more in total conversion mods like Rubicon, Eternal, and ESPECIALLY RED.
