I haven't been able to play any games that require anything more than animal crossing without giving up after 20 minutes, turning off my computer, and going to lay back in bed. Have you felt like this? Did vidya help?

I go through my backlog of DS games.

Currently I'm on Suikoden: Tierkreis.

Not bad. The english VA isn't dogshit and the characters are fun.

The game gets a little too easy when you farm money early on by buying stuff from one place and selling it in another where it's worth more.

Allows you to get very high gear quite early.

Games from my childhood (JK:A, croc , unreal tournament ect) or warframe because at this point it's a habit. But if you're having trouble with vidya and want to sleep all day it sounds like you're pretty depressed. Try sitting outside and getting some sun, even as a start. Have some cute webms.

I find city builders to work really well when I want to clear my head. They're usually quite easy, you can't really lose, you always have something to do, you need to plan a little …

That's why I don't like the current trend in city builder/management games which consist in adding extra challenge, deadlines and beginner traps.

Well I guess that explains why the only games I've been able to convince myself to start up is Tropico 5 and Cities: Skyline. But within 15 minutes I lost in tropico 5 and went into massive debt in cities. I restarted both I think 3 times trying different strategies but the same result. I felt like a brainlet and gave up.

What are other games in the genre that you are more thinking of when you say that? Are they aesthetic?

I only played Tropico 4 and never played Skyline. I was mostly referring to old games, Pharaoh, Caesar series, rollercoster tycoon … It's not -really- about city building but rather starting a sandboxy comfy game that I can play at my own pace. I don't need to cheat because I know how to play already, but if I had to I would.

I have fond memories of dozens of hours spent on the "my pet dungeon" mode in dungeon keeper 2 for instance.
