then forget about any simpsons game other than konami's simpsons arcade game.

The movie tie-in is really bad (both handheld and console games are fucking bad). If you want to torture yourself, try out the simpsons skateboarding game.

I think it wouldn't be a crazy statement to say it's the best Simpsons game. Although there's some bits that are annoying, like some very tight time limits or how some missions can't be started until you buy a certain costume for a chunk of coins. Coins aren't something you'll spend a lot of time having to collect, and I suppose it's just an artificial way to get you to explore a bit, but it's still a nonsensical roadblock to have a character needing to wear a certain costume despite being inside of a car. Other than that, if you're a Simpsons fan by any means, I say get it. You'll be able to appreciate the show references and the dialogue.

I think the car handling is another highlight of the game. I wish there was more silly cartoon games that have that nice of car handling.
