I have a copy of Tesla Effect, but I haven't played it yet. Also, nobody seems to remember Grey Matter, which was a Jane Jensen game made after she left Sierra and is kind of a spiritual successor to Gabriel Knight.

Also if you want a guitar i recommend checking out goodwill. Guitar controllers are fairly common and just about any guitar will work. Wii guitars need the wii remotes and a bluetooth adapter. Rockband ones need the rockband dongle. Xbox ones will probably work no matter what. Usually they are like 3-5 dollars there so you cant go wrong. i decided to buy a real guitar and rocksmith

It's real easy to emulate and honest to god holds up really well. The story is great and cheezy for a generic fantasy game, the soundtrack is amazing and the art is really good. Experimenting with different button combos to find moves you didn't even know existed is one of the reasons I keep playing it years after I first did. The family tree system adds a ton of replayablilty too.

I believe the artist's name was Tarou Yamazaki (山崎太郎) after comparing accreditation from the game I liked for mentions of Dragon Valor amongst the artists. However, his old site seems to have finally died, and thus what remains are what was archived (and the quality of such) here:

Also it would seem that the game did get a guidebook in Japan (so named as "ナムコ公式ガイドブック ドラゴンヴァラー"), so if you're that guy that was looking for high res art, assuming they were done at proper print resolution, a book like that might have some. That said, a guidebook is not the same as an artbook, so there's likely text/image overlays if there was some being used as high res background work.

Did a bit more searching, and didn't really uncover much new. Still a cache of art at Legendra (https://www.legendra.com/rpg/fiche-galerie-1-supports_id-15-rpg_id-876-type-art-rpg-dragon_valor.html) , but it's only mid sized, and some images not cleaned of text. Though, if you're all that big a fan of it, I assume you've stumbled onto them before. But for games wherein they're older, and the series didn't continue past them, it can be a shit show to try to find stuff in bulk.
Some higher res stuff I did manage to find.

I've had it on my backlog myself. I'll get around to it eventually. But yeah, I liked finding out he did the environmental art for ACF, though admittedly that was more adapting the existing designs from the PS1 original to the PS2 remake. The artbook that I found (again, on a now-dead site; glad I saved that one in full) has an entire section just of his setting related stuff. Interesting to see an artist able to do both characters AND set pieces well.

A well loved, critically acclaimed and commercially successful (albeit a bit less than its predecessor) game does not belong in this thread.
ed5acf No.15185509
It's objectively a bad game, but I loved it.
I was 13 at the time and a retarded ff7 fanboy, so I asked for it as a gift just because a fighting game with Cloud and Sephiroth seemed hilarious.
All the original characters of the game are Tekken ripoffs. There's not-Jin-Kazama, not-Hwoarang, not-Law … The mechanics are pretty original, but broken as hell. It's kind of a mix between an arena fighter like Smash and a traditional one : there are a lot of ranged moves, items to pick up, and you could run freely around the stage. It didn't even have a move list and I had to use trial and error to figure out special moves. The animations looked really stiff and awkward. In a way it was still fun, the controls were tight, there were some wacky instakill moves, moves that were over the top but completely useless (Sephiroth was the worst offender for this). I still play it once in a while. But it's not the same, since my little sister isn't here to play with me anymore.
The dungeon crawler that came with it was dope as well.

As >>15185474 said, no. If you want underplayed Nintendo RPGs, there's the Magical series (Magical Vacation and Magical Starsign) and Glory of Heracles (which NoJ bought both the series rights and team behind after Data-East collapsed). Though, admittedly I am looking at things from a western perspective. Not real sure how well they did in Japan, but it's telling that Nintendo seems to have given up on both.
