I think a rogue-lite format would be nice. With an emphasis on dying not being a big issue, but surviving is really difficult and certainly earns you some big teef'

The Mount and blade idea isnt bad but I feel like working your way up from being a just a regular slugga or shoota boy would be good. What about all the crazy vehicles and shit? Jas have them all in a big battle or deploy them with orders or something?

GW would just get some shit developer to make the game like they did with DoW III or Gladius. I could see a smaller team made up of Wh40k fans maybe making something decent but I have the feeling GW would just send a cease and desist.

Not a game, but you could check out this manga called Re:Monster, which is about a goblin getting stronger by stealing his opponents abilities through eating them, and slowly making his tribe stronger and evolving and being OP and shiet.
Protip: There's a fuckton of reading involved, because apparently they mostly copied and pasted the LN text onto the manga.
Admittedly it's probably shit storytelling-wise but it's kinda a guilty pleasure of mine.

also side note I am enjoying playing as greenskins in total warhammer but I'm having trouble crushing the dwarfs because they keep making confederations and growing bigger faster than I can take their holes and it takes me like 2 full armies to squash 1 of theirs

sending one lord deep into humie lands for constant raiding has let me build up a considerable army back in the mountains but the vampires and chaos both are starting to think that they want to take me out so I might have to deal with that before I finish off the dorfs
