I learned the word "erstwhile" just from watching the trailer, so I can understand how a non-native speaker of English may have some difficulty reading all the dialogue. That being said, what are some games that are helpful for developing language skills? Either for English, or any other language that you might be learning. Bonus points if it's not a strictly educational game, but just happens to have an emphasis on language.

Not anymore. I was almost a teacher, and I had access to the curriculum for a certain school's 8th grade AP English class at one point. Shakespeare was nowhere to be found. He had instead been replaced with no name authors who were black, spic, female, or any combination thereof and whose work was on the level of things my school used to have us read in 5th grade. Long gone are the days of 8th graders reading Shakepeare, Tennyson, or Joyce.

The only reason I can think of the (inaccurate) ye olde speak is since the village is very steeped in it's traditions. Like one of the oldest people in the world or some bullshit.

Yet, the culture of it doesn't match. Hunting folk wouldn't have been lords and ladies. It's like how in the demo there's a canadian woman in a sea-side town.

Other than that I've enjoyed the demo. A few flaws here and there, but worth playing. How much it's worth paying for or at all is up to you.
