In the genesis Earthworm Jim, Jungle Book, Aladdin games with floaty jumping, you had to hold pressed the up button while jumping in order to jump higher and skip animation frames to make the jump.
In Earthworm Jim at the very last part where you had to lasso yourself, you needed to hold up in order for your worm lasso's hitbox to be bigger while you're falling so you can grapple much easier.
In Jungle Book and Aladdin you had to hold pressed up in order to skip the animation damage frames that would stilt/slow you down, especially at the lava part for Aladdin.

I had this weird unfinished version for Buttville.
It didn't include the tiny green guys with their electric tongues and it didn't include the green goo platforms for the queen.
I had to either shoot 1 plasma gun at her, whip her 1 time, jump into her mouth to insta kill her. Instead of platforms I had claws to lasso on. Somehow the devs thought I would be able to swing with the lasso and shoot at her at the same time.
For the longest time I thought I jumped in her mouth and she died from swallowing Jim and that the lava area where I meet her younger redhead sister was actually inside her cocoon ass.
It must have been an old version where the final boss was another 1 hit kill trash like the Incredible Hulk game, till they decided to patch it.
