>What are ya playin'?

I've been playing Star Lords, the alpha of Master of Orion. It's pretty cool even if the version they eventually released is better. I've just finished a game as the Klackons and I've purged first humans then space cats and lizards from the galaxy.
It's actually a pretty curious game. After a fairly standard war and winning over the humans the pace got pretty weird as the cats and lizards allied against me. The lizards have very fast growing pops and regular bombings didn't really work, so unlike against the humans a fleet of fighters and some bombers weren't going to work. I made a new design, a medium sized warship with missiles, a couple of beam weapons and death spores. Death spores is a bioweapon that kills pops quickly but fucks the planet and makes the AI mad at you.
Little did I know however what a cluster fuck it would become. As I expanded I had more trouble to keep territory so when I had about half the galaxy under my control there was this stalemate where planets would get conquered and reconquered every couple of turns. Meanwhile I focused on tech. I built massive ships loaded up to the brim with death spores, missile racks and canons. These ships took twelve turns to make and I only got like four or five of these out but they annihilated colonies the moment they arrived.
The space lizards however were so quick to repopulate planets that it became a game of whackamole. A new colony would pop up and I'd send one of my fleets there to smoke it. Things only turned around as I got the technology to travel to their core planets and could put a stop to tell stream of people coming from there.
It was also curious how the great ships of death I had designed to quickly put put an end to colonies actually was in service during an in game time of very many years in game time. As I grew and grew I got more and more new tech but it just was never worth it to put a new one together as the enemy ships were no match for them. So the same old ship that thirty years ago came in to destroy cats and lizardmen, basically furries now that I think about it, still dropped death on their worlds unopposed until they were all annihilated.
It's quite the mental image, very old ships raining death on already ruined worlds, fighting an ancient war. Everything from the engines to the weapons outdated by many decades but even so wiping out planets of furries one by one.

it is, you can make ship models, use agents (scientists, governors, spies, capitans, fleet admirals, generals and the faction leader), loots of resource types (its demand depends on the race and ship components, but common use resources are stuff like steel, hydrogen, calso and ther metal if i am forgetting it), global and racial victory conditions (space jew race need to gain the highest trade income while the belligerent cockroach race needs to destroy more ships than anyone), between other stuff, the only inferior aspect is politics, goverment systems range from despotism to democracy, the main difference is that democracy helps research, trade income, corruption and lso increases ship maintenance cost, troop recruiting time, troop maintenance and war exaustion tolerance, whit despotic goverments it's entirely the opposite, still there are goverments that are in the middle from those 2 like feudalism and monarchy that are at the center of this and also racial special goverment systems like merchant guild and hive mind systems

Does /v/ read sci-fi? I just finished A Fire Upon the Deep, which I found rather enjoyable, though a bit confusing at times since it is the first modern sci-fi novel I've read. It has some cool aliens like sentient plants and dogs that are only intelligent in packs.

aa2762 No.15177631
>>15177324
The only 'modern' sci-fi - or from the last decade - I've read was Peter Watts' Blindsight and Greg Egan's Diaspora. Blindsight's really interesting, because it's more about intelligence and the purpose of self-awareness in the grand scheme of things, especially in the context of a semi-natural alien species than about pew pewy space lasers, although it still remains every hard sci-fi.
Diaspora's silly in comparison, because, as far as I am aware, Greg Egan's every book is about tweaking one fundamental physics equation (think Gunbusters' field equation leading to faster than light travel and time travel) and seeing where it goes - in this case, it starts off with advanced fully-simulated semi-mind-uploaded civilizations and revolves into recursive realities stemming from the twelth-dimensional space caused by some theoretical space within the quark. The really cool bit is when it delves into a "reverse reality", where our three dimensions of space and one dimension of time are instead three dimensions of time and one of space, where there are no speeds slower than the speed of light and no stable orbits can exist, so instead of planets everything lives on the surface of stars. I don't think it really carries a deeper message towards the end, but I'm not sure.

It is similar to both of those. However, this book's Blight is more like a computer virus so advanced it spills over into the physical world by manufacturing ways to spread itself, and it spreads at the speed of light given the right channels to transmit itself. While the Blight is cool, what's more interesting is the way a galaxy that can communicate in real time reacts to it. Vinge essentially predicted the shitstorm that the existence of the internet would wreak on global affairs when fueled by rampant disinfo campaigns.

Okay, tried out the update, there's a lot more space engagements now, not sure if anything fleet-level happens yet. Space stations are redesigned so they have more stores and NPC's and you can jetpack right into them rather than walking all the way around to the ramp every time. Pretty much all resources have been redone such that you need to be visiting different planets to get what you need (a welcome development). Just acquired a freighter and a frigate, so I'll see how that works soon. Oh, and they fixed the pulse drive lock-on so that you go around a planet and arc down for reentry properly when going to a point of interest beyond the curvature of the world, rather than flying into the atmo a country away from the destination.

but wouldn't the plasma melt through the shell? and if the shell was made out of something plasma wouldn't be able to melt through wouldn't it make the plasma component redundant?
1cfa5f No.15214527

You need to make the shell magnetic for containment, but otherwise it just has to penetrate the armour and not much else, once the shell is inside it can spill all the plasma it wants.

The other sexy thing you can do with a railgun at high tech levels, is to put it in a vacuum, and install a wormhole linking the front and back. This lets you continuously pump kinetic energy into the shell for as long as you want, and can store theoretically infinite energy because of relativity. Enemy shows up,=release wormhole. One of my sci-fi ideas is to use this system as an energy storage mechanism (ex:on civvie ships), which can be fired off in emergency situations. The only weakness is if the enemy has the reaction speed and means to route the shell through a wormhole of their own, but this is difficult to do with out building a housing for your wormhole endpoint.

Question, what if the rail gun or the slug it fires can't handle the energy produced and break up?
569a62 No.15214844
>>15214773
It's being accelerated magnetically in a vacuum, it won't break up. The ct of firing actually involves no acceleration forces, only the release of the wormhole. If it encounters air, the sheer velocity will push it through at 0.99c (remember that since K.E. gets harder to increase near c, it is also harder to decrease). Should the shell break up, depending on how much power you've dumped into the thing, you might still get a relativity blunderbuss. Also, the time the shell would spend in-atmo after breaking apart, but before hitting the target, would be so small that they should basically impact the same spot. In fact, I had been thinking of a capital ship using a carefully calibrated lower velocity shot to take advantage of the blunderbuss effect to punch through large asteroid bases from the backside, bypassing shield systems.

The amount of energy required to maintain a wormhole would be so many orders of magnitude greater than that required to accelerate the shell that it seems like dumping that energy directly into the acceleration of a weapon would be more optimal. Every instant the WH is open represents energy not being used to damage the enemy, but simply to store energy.
569a62 No.15216378
>>15216290
Yeah, i am operating on the assumption that keeping a small projectile sized wormhole through a distance of less than a few feet could be maintained by a fusion reactor.
As for the "orders of magnitude greater" line, you could dump as much energy into the shell as you want, potentially orders of magnitude more than the wormhole would require. That's KE that you get to keep until the moment you need it.
If you want, I could call them portals instead of wormholes if that would make it work out better.

Seemed like a really fun time, I like economy simulations that include war machine feeding. Games like Factorio.
But I also like the idea of dynamic factions and the NPCs not being able to spawn something from nothing, (With the exception of the initial setup.) So I was dismayed when I learned that the X3 AI does in fact spawn in a lot of stuff without actually having to pay for or manufacture things, and additionally, a lot of the territory is static or nearly impossible to change with the efforts of AI on AI wars being nearly fruitless or scripted.
Is there a game out there that the AI has to play by the game rules of the player (Can't spawn free stuff and has to buy/make it,) has dynamic territory with wars between AI factions without player influence, and involves a realistic resource harvesting, product manufacturing, and trading system?
If so, please share.

Also: that game suffers from the worst case of NEED MODS syndrome. Do you want a larger gun? Get a mod. Do you want a faster engine? Get a mod. Do you want a larger refinery? Get a mod.
It's just super stupid. From the depths did it a lot better. Instead of having to rely on the blocks and parts they provide you with, they give you the individual parts of each gun and missile and engine. Do you want a gun with longer range? Add more barrel pieces. Do you want it to shoot faster? Crank up the rate of fire. But uh oh. Now it will overheat! You better add either more barrel or cooling parts. The recoil is also going to fuck up your shit! Better put on more hydraulic recoil absorbers! But now your gun is too expensive. Want to build a super large duper gun or build a thousand cheap ones instead?
They give you tonns of options to the point where no ship has to use the same gun design. I wish another game would pick up that system.

KSP is really bad in a multitude of ways. I keep coming back to it each year or so, modding it to hell and getting disgusted to the point of dropping it again for another year before getting anywhere past landing a drone on Minmus.
A month or so ago was the last iteration, where I tried to assemble a 6-man lander mission up to the Mun with two separate landers connected up to a deorbitting tug. For that, I first wanted to prepare a middle kerbin orbit space station for research and zero-G experiments from one particular mod, and launched one huge monolithic self-sufficient segment up at once. Docked another 2.5m segment to the side to act as a tug and long range comms.
The problem came when I tried to dock a third segment, the first of the landers. I made a little docking zone with four 1m shielded docks and four 0.5 docks for satellites (because shielded docks don't scan shit in front of them 24/7 and don't lag the shit out of the game.) I rendezvous up to docking range, undo both shields, come right up and dock.
The fucking thing starts physics-rattling and within two seconds disintegrates the entire fucking station I took approximately two days putting up into orbit with 8 crewmen dead.
Also, for Stellaris being a 4x, I'd expect it to have all the Xs properly. That's Xplore, Xploit, Xpand, Xterminate. It's got exploration, I'll give it that. Its exploitation is weak as fuck with its fairly asinine tile system and what have you, but granted.
But the developers actively discouraged players from expanding to force their retarded fucking liberal policy of "it's better when everyone is in peace and harmony!!!", even though the entire game is balanced towards having as much shit as possible. And yet, you get huge penalties for having too many planets, literally every single race in the entire universe that you have contact with (irregardless of their political affiliation or views) get a near permanent -100 on all diplomacy the second you genocide another race (but the AI can do it just fine). But you cannot truly climb standings without expanding after every single viable spot's been claimed, since trades and relations are fucking weak and there's always the looming threat of some ancient civilization or event that'll fuck you up (and only you because all your alliance AI friends do not give a single shit about the genocidal race of robots that will annihilate the whole galaxy.)
There's supposed to be spies and shit in a proper 4X as well, but of course, Stellaris has none of that.
The final X, exterminate, is the real cherry on top of a shit pie. It just isn't there. The combat is so fucking atrocious that, at one point, the most effective tactic until the very end of the game was to just spam ridiculous amounts of the base frigate you get at the very start of the game to insane amounts because all the proceeding supposed upgrades of ship modules were all straight downgrades. Not to mention that every fleet is fucking uncontrolleable in-game, and homes in on the first target it sees irregardless of your commands. The first target usually turns out to be the civilian fucking mining station with the armaments of a peashooter on the other side of the solar system while the enemy fleet is busy fucking up your recently conquered planet. But other than that, it is pure attrition. And yet, extermination is the only actual method to getting farther in the game.
Oh, and the race customization is fucking appalling and worthless for anything but a few minor events. Endless Space 2 is a much better recent 4x game in every single vein.
31a376 No.15360876
>>15360786
You have to treat KSP like your average slav game, always keep the bugs in the back of the head. Then its great. However it is not great because of the devs but despite them.
And regarding Stellaris, its not a 4x even if its advertized as such, its a freeform GSG.
aa2762 No.15360964
>>15360876
It is a freeform GSG thinking that it can be a 4x if it just slaps a bunch of Europa Universalis features into it with a sci-fi gloss. And it just does not fucking work.
I'd be okay with it if they were minor bugs, not the kind of bugs that irreversibly destroy your entire save file through no fault of your own. I'd also be okay with it if half those bugs weren't related to the shittyass fucking physics engine that does not fucking work, be it in space or on land.

The main problem is their retarded all or nothing attitude towards game balance.
For example vertical play styles scale until you have only one system, but horizontal playstyle scales infinitely, when there should be a goldilock zone inbetween with increasing ACTUAL drawbacks towards each end of the spectrum.
aa2762 No.15360999
>>15360978
That's one of the numerous problems, yes. You cannot physically build tall. In Endless Space 2, you can do perfectly fine as a single solar system as long as you keep your diplomacy in check, and use your slowly growing influence to engulf opponents and peacefully assimilate their systems.
In Stellaris, you've got fuck all. You are entirely limited by the planets you colonize (which you cannot terraform after you colonize them, last I checked). There are no drawbacks to building tall, but there are also no advantages. But with horizontal play, you've only got the entire world to gain while all the drawbacks are either minor or possible to bypass. You get the diplomacy debuff for genocide - well, diplomacy is fucking terrible in the game and you can most benefit by basically ignoring it. There's the idiotic war system ripped straight from Europa Universalis which artificially forces you to stand down arms - well, you'll just have to wait a teensy bit until you can go back to destroying. The political and race customization amounts to fuck all with even xenophilic zen masters most benefitting from just annexing the entire galaxy. The regional restrictions can be bypassed by ramping the fuck up in production or going on a blitzkrieg. There is no practical reason to just sit on your ass and attempt to build tall while everyone else just fucks around.

You're always supposed to expand as much as possible, it's just that it differs what is possible for each faction.
Stellaris's recent dev diaries show what might be victoria 2 IN SPEHSS and thus will possibly allow players to build tall, but until I play it myself, it's nothing. Once you stop expanding, you just mostly wait around because empire building (planet management) is shit and brainless, you just plan building layout of the planet at the start, give the planet to a sector and all it does is upgrades these buildings.
It doesn't solve main issues of "tall" (mainly the lack of competition, since you just give up trying to gain more resources than you already do), but at least it's not as boring as the current system.

I'm gonna bump thread with talk of Mass Effect. Recently spent the past two weeks going through it seeing if it still holds up but this time I added mods, most of them texture mods for the 1 and 2 and heavier mods for 3.
ME 1 I finished in 25 hours and is a good start to the series, Drew K-whateverhislastnameis really set up the universe with this one. The combat though hasn't aged well, compared to how decent it is in 2/3 with the different class play styles, if you don't go solider in 1, you're essentially handicapping yourself. I decided to play Engineer through the 3 games and 1 was the worst experience in terms of combat. Sabotage, Overload and restricted to a pistol where as solider can have a heat sinked rifle and never stop firing. I'd recommend you go for solider/infiltrator/vanguard class here then change in 2 because at least they get a decent weapon for 1. Stopping Saren and the rogue geth was a pretty good story and talking to Sovereign and fighting on the side of the Citadel tower towards Sovereign are good moments. The music is all good stuff, specially Vigil's Theme and Uncharted Worlds.
Mods I used for this was alot textures and faster elevators.
ME2 I finished in 35 hours and does really well to continue from ME1. The Thermal clip thing you eventually get use to and the main plot does have holes, why is Shepard fighting a side enemy instead of preparing for the Reapers? Why does Shepard take the entire squad on a "mission" so the Collectors can take everyone? Why do the Protheans look different than they do on the statues in Ilos in ME1? That's Mac Walters fault I think, he was co lead writer with Drew on ME2 and took over ME 3 after Drew left. Combat is small, detailed areas and all powers are used for something. As an Engineer, I finally get access to a gun that doesn't suck, a Sub-machine gun as a main weapon and overload/incinerate/drone for crowd control and sitting back. You only really need an ammo power like Garrus's AP and you're set. This is where alot of the humor and life got injected into ME, also where most of the memes came from back in the day. Mordin's patter songs, for instance.
Mods used were ALOT, shorter loading screens, no minigames (Grew tired of them from ME1) and ME2 Recalibrated (This fixes lore errors, spelling mistakes and some bugs, recommend this one)(Didn't fix faulty flags however, Conrad Verner says I still pulled a gun on him even though I didn't, Sirta still folds even though I saved the scientists, Sha'ira still leaves even though I helped her. All can be fixed with gimping the save however. And all of these are fixed through ME3 revisions).
eb4fe5 No.15376179
>>15376172
The whole purpose of this though was for ME3. Why play through the first two again when most of the mods I got were for 3? Well, I wanted a fresh perspective as it's been a few years since I've done a play-through and I wanted all the flags and choices in place to see how many carried across into the modded play-through and holy hell I think I like modded ME3 the best. The combat has slightly larger areas, powers can now bend around corners, mods modded onto weapons do help like the pierce upgrade. The plot is written by Mac and revolves around the Control vs Destroy theme which Drew didn't want because he set up those Dark Energy angles in ME2. Curing the Genophage and the situation with Rannoch are the meat of ME3 and both of those are really good. Cortez, Treynor and James don't have the same impacts as meeting Tali, Garrus and Liara again. The ending still sucks because Star Child is just retarded with the 3 colors.
Now, I wanna talk about the ME3 mods. The biggest one being Expanded Galaxy. And it really does expand the galaxy. The star map is open from when you leave earth so you can see you slowly lose territory to the reapers. The Normandy got overhauled, can add mechs and an old mako in the cargo hold. Can open up a shooting range to test guns. The multiplayer armors, guns and some new ones got add so there's like 20 assault rifles and armors to choose from, making your Shepard look unique. The little choices from ME1/2 actually come back here. Corporal Toombs for instance can become a war asset once you take down Cerberus. Helping Kenn in Omega in ME2 and resolving the situation on Rannoch to help the Quarians can get him installed on the Normandy with a new engine to help you fly faster on the galaxy map. You can choose to evacuate Thessia when it gets taken and you choose who to pull out, Matriarchs or civilians. Stay too long and Reapers will decimate the ground forces and you'll be forced to retreat hap-haphazardly.. Your war assets over the course of the war are going to take damage as well, the Alliance 7th and 8th fleets are gutted to events, 1st is under strength and 3rd can get battered due to bad events. Just before the Crucible is deployed you can meet the fleet that will be guarding it too.
What Expanded Galaxy does is it takes some of the more retarted elements of the plot like the Citadel suddenly appearing around earth and it tries to full in the gaps with Intel reports on major battles happening around the galaxy, Specter reports on the various colonies have fallen. The mod adds this sense of dread over everything you do, so when you play the Citadel DLC and throw the party, it really is a breath of fresh air. Can confidently say I won't play ME3 again without this mod, as it's just too good to pass up. It adds much needed immersion to 3.
There's a reason that the Happy Ending mod is the most download mod on ME3 nexus, it gets rid of the star kid and if you have enough EMS, Shepard survives and you ride off into the sunset. And that's what it should have been, Reapers destroyed, nightmare ended, Hackett narrates hopeful future of galaxy. Not only does this focus the ending again on Shepard and his/her choices but combined with EG the story focuses again on Shepard instead of control/destroy theme which ruins much of the narrative. These two mods I highly recommend as it really makes ME3 fun.
Other mods ME3 Recalibrated (Again, lore fixes, spelling errors and the like) Interface scaling (Scales it up on 16:9 screens so the interface matches that of ME2 instead of how small it is in ME3), Better dreams (Replaces Shepard searching for the kid with ~40 second nightmares of the events of ME1/2, focusing again on Shepard and not the kid. Tali face mod, as you can see from the screenshot. I like it, also a mod that gives her a proper romance scene. Alot of textures to bring up the quality of it. Backoff supposedly alters dialogue options so you can persue who you want. Wouldn't recommend thanemod as I installed it to see what would happen but it screwed up and that error on the elcor troops is a result of it.
But for all my rambling, I still like ME and the mods of 3 have brought the game up in my eyes.

And because ES2 is broken to hell and back, the birds can expand infinitely with no consequences as long as they are conquering other empires, and then use the resources gained from winning battles, and the new planets, to make absolutely insane upgrades to their planets. The limiting factor should be manpower, but Hissho also get +1 to manpower per turn for each pop they have. Combine that with the various techs you can get, and the ability to convert newly conquered pops into troops to make more room for Hissho, and you should have little trouble keeping your army ready for combat.
This is probably why they included the ruins stuff in the update to discourage too much war mongering. Which still isn't what they promised when they were talking about that stuff. They mentioned trying to have highly contested worlds have maps for space battles that had derelicts floating around which would have effects on the battle. Nope, nothing. Rather aggravating since one of my favorite things about SotS was that combat had an effect on the planet it took place near, which was abused by the user base to add resources to the planet, but it was neat that a highly contested world would become more valuable the more it was fought over.

getting litcube's universe to work
hopefully this saves someone some time at some point, i just wasted hours.
if you pirated X3, you MUST use the GoG version, there are several versions floating about. the one on IGG-GAMES works. the one i was using previously, some random shit off TPB, who knows where the fuck it came from, did not work.
There is no gamestarts.pck as referenced
http://litcube.xtimelines.net/wiki/index.php/CleanInstall
to delete.
renaming X3AP.exe to x3ap_n.exe as referenced in GoG forums and elsewhere is also unnecessary.
Just run the install as the setup guide says on the GoG version and all will be well.
1- Install base game
2- Copy base game to another folder for litcube
3- Run litcube base install on new copy of x3 you just made
4- Run litcube patch
5- Run litcube sountrack install
6- Run litcube gui patch.
<signs it is not working
-There is no new GUI, this killed me for hours thinking it was working when it was not. If litcube is installed properly, you will get a new GUI.
-The splash screen on the first menu (new game, continue, etc), did not change, if litcube is installed properly, this will look different.
-The gamestarts did not change, if litcube was installed properly, you will not see the standard gamestarts, you will instead see litcube's completely different and obviously different gamestarts.
If any of the above happens you are not running litcube and are instead running some bastardized mix of litcube and vanilla that will not end well.

Is that still in? That shit also made me stop playing when I was forced to peace without a single planet taken just because my WE ramped out a smidge over 100 just as I finished the last stage of invading a planet.

That's pretty funny. Maybe people are playintg the multiplayer now.
>>15384588
That's pretty fair. The game's very mediocre and repetitive. It never fulfills its full potential. The greatest part is partway through where you can use a warhammer and a jet-pack. If the game had that set-up as the main gameplay and then built on that instead, it would've have been far better. It's graphically quite impressive so my guess is, that back then, they couldn't make very large levels on the consoles.

Double Damage, the guys behind Rebel Galaxy have a new game called RG: Outlaw coming out. Appears to be more fighter based. The vids are from their twitter. Looking at a Q1 release next year.

That's cool. Rebel galaxy was pretty fun, albeit repetitive. Not a fan of the crude humor but the gameplay looks like it could be fun. It might work well with joysticks too, which is always my hope.
The video reminded me of that one sprite-based first-person space game that was in development. It had very impressive sprites and plenty of bloom. Does anyone recall its name? I believe the enemy ships were usually blue-ish.
3a923d No.15394086

The problem was that they designed basically one ship, and then messed with the variables and sizes. Which made it really boring to play for after awhile, especially when you got all the way to the top and there was no real change. They could have at least includes some that had spinal mounts or the like.
11a6df No.15394105

They did have that one ship that was based on turrets, they just need a few more of those.
Maybe also a ship based on missiles, and a carrier ship.
b0c8b1 No.15394160

That's absolutely true. It was obviously a small game so I suppose they probably did the best they could with their constrains. Doesn't make it better though.

A carrier would've been pretty rad.

So, I was pretty excited to hear about the new Rebel Galaxy, but the quipping you can hear in the webms concerned me, so I looked further into it. It didn't take long for me to find this.
Pic related seems to be our protagonist. Oh, but don't worry, the FAQ assures me that she is "awesome." Now, maybe it's too early to tell, and maybe she isn't necessarily supposed to look like she came from tumblr, but even if that's the case I still fear that she's going to end up having a detrimental impact on the game, regardless. I certainly would have preferred something more along the lines of a faceless protagonist, personally.
Anons excited for this game may want to temper their expectations. Oh, and I found this info on their official website, if anyone was curious.

c2dda3 No.15395704

I believe it's the protagonist. You can see her in both the animated short they released and in a few of the game screenshots, although admittedly she does look a little better in both of those, and her hair is darker. The outfit is very similar, though. Red jacket, goggles, beige pants, etcetera.
Maybe it's just a false alarm, and maybe I'm being pessimistic. There just aren't a lot of single-player games focused around dogfighting kicking around anymore, so I want this to be good.

It is. I only played the first Rebel Galaxy a little bit since frigate vs. frigate isn't really my preference. I didn't know >>15395651 was referring to an aunt character from the first game, but now that I think about it, I do have vague memories of an aunt. The picture I posted is from the section of their website specifically for the prequel.

It's a really early game ship, it has 7 turrets as opposed to the regular number of 3 turrets by that point in the game.
So I stuck 7 mining beams on it and that ship survived till endgame.

That is kind of interesting. I will give the game credit that the differences between the classes can be mitigated a lot better than say Starpoint Gemini, where I really question why they have specializations for ship classes since the game makes it fairly obvious that flying too small of a ship class will get you fucked up.

Tbh, the main reason that ship worked was because mining beams are OP and because of level scaling.

I had 30 hours invested in one playthrough and then suddenly the AI crapped itself and started trying to send ships through a nonexistent gate causing my game to halt and no way to carry on…
