> It's not designed to be an anime and there's gonna be some pretty big sacrifices on it.
I think it could work. I lost several hours of sleep in Mitsuki/Eriko's and Kanna/Kaori's routes because I kept wanting to see what would happen next. I also loved how details in one route answered mysteries in another.
There's plenty of mystery, intrigue, and interesting characters to make an engrossing anime with.
I'd like to see the memory less phenomenon explored in the series. Typically, Takuya loses all memory when a reset happens, and when using a jewel save, but in some endings he shows to have a lingering memory of the timeline's events. Other times, having an item he isn't supposed to jogs his memory; and in Kaori's route, he seems to remember everything.
At Triangle Mountain, Ryuuzouji implies he can experience deja-vu and realize when a timeline is repeating itself.

It's 2018. If the character design looks too dated, the remake won't succeed. And if you aren't going to update the aesthetic, why bother with a remake in the first place?
I'm excited for this. Yu-No is basically a cult hit. I kind of hope this winds up being what Blade Runner 2049 was to the original.
