I've pulled a few all-nighters with Shogun 1 and Medieval 2 Total War. More recently I did one with Factorio and a couple with Crusader Kings 2. I did the final parts of Mass Effect 1 very late too, but I was done by 4 AM so I don't think it counted.
I also once played a game of Sins of a Solar Empire with all the expansions on the biggest map possible with all AI slots filled. I started on a Sunday and played all night, went to class collegefag, took a nap when I came back, kept playing till about 2 AM, slept properly, went to class again, then came back and finished the game. It took about 3 days total but honestly everything after sunday was cleanup.

the best job i've ever had was the night auditor at a hotel, which meant that for eight hours i'd sit at a perfectly quiet desk, in a perfectly quiet hotel, through the maximum comfy hours of the night. i had exactly two tasks to perform while working, one of which was computerized so i literally just had to click "count all the day's money minus the day's expenses" then collate the pages that printed out, and the other was the occasional patrol through the hotel to make sure the doors were all locked.
what this meant is that i got paid a pretty damn good wage to play videogames all night, every single night, and since i only had shitty hotel wifi for my laptop they were almost all exclusively singleplayer. silent hunter 3 was my game du jour during this time, but i also did a shitload of emulation

When I was in college my roommate got a few cases of this discontinued energy drink for dirt cheap, didn't like the taste, and gave them to me. I played Tetris DS for five days straight, skipping classes and pausing occasionally to eat something and drink another can of poison.
If you haven't played Tetris DS, the classic mode is normal Tetris, except a block doesn't "place" down until you stop rotating it. It still gets faster the longer you play, but you can abuse the rotation to play forever, if you're good enough. You can still fuck up by not being able to "roll" a piece over an obstacle, and getting it stuck in the wrong place, so it still takes skill. Well, this five-day period was ONE CONTINUOUS GAME. The blocks didn't move from the top of the screen to the bottom, they just appeared, already on the bottom. As soon as one was placed, the next one was on top of it. I don't remember the moment when or why I stopped playing, I probably just passed out from physical exhaustion.
In hindsight, that drink might have been discontinued because it was liquid amphetamines.

Last week I played through Nocturne, the last couple of days I've been into Max Payne 3.
Nocturne is a long grind with great combat, way better than Persona 5's. Not as interesting story wise, as it's essentially a riff on Devilman, and in the end you only stick around because the combat is so fun.
Max Payne 3 is an old school shooter, but the crazy production values and MGS4 amount of cutscenes give it the stigma of AAA. Reviews at the time complained about the added cover mechanics, but it was overblown.

In one game we got rushed and nearly lost against a team of 5 very hard computers, but after a long time of barely fending them off with cheap units, gathering resources out of their sight, and protecting a trade route we set up in the corner, we were able to slowly build up an army to fight back and then take them out one at a time. That game lasted until after sunrise but it felt great to win after nearly dying to the initial rush.
