Great mod, relatively great story, great lore, lulzy voice acting and way better leveling(copied from Gothic).

But the problem is that it's mostly unfinished. You see it the further East you go.

The starting area is really really well made and with care. The jungle is basically empty.

Look up Nehrim if you can stomach Oblivion graphics.

I have much hope for these Krauts. They have to make a game on their own engine.

Can we discuss other "world mods" for lack of a better term? Things like Enderal that add totally different worlds to RPGs (well, not sure if I'd call skyrim an RPG but you get my point).

It is a drivel written by a Nietzschean madman and a call out to their earlier mistake (Nehrim). Long story short. In Nehrim (Oblivion equivalent) they went full fedora in their shit and religion is bad, etc.

In this, things are reversed. Writers woke up to the horrors of their own mistake and penned this as a suicide note with their last grip of sanity. There is an fedora crusade hellbent on killing “gods”, perpetual unavoidable cycle of destruction because muh deep nihilism, and all endings of the game are utter shit and you lose either way. Also hamfisted “companions” and “romance”.

Play side quests for the sceneries, do not touch main story altogether unless you wish to slog through the last dance of a mad krauts mind.

Played for about 5 hours and it's pretty good. While the enemies are still a bit spongey, the combat has me more awake then when I played Skyrim. The world is really nicely crafted and already I've been introduced to varied quests than Skyrim. Unsure if I'll finish it because I'm fucking sick of Bethesda's game formula. I think I'm gonna play Arcanum or Underrail, I have a real itch for stats based RPG's.

Its shit and not just because its still Skyrim. The leveling sucks, you can only level with rare or expensive books which is dumb. Are all of the books unique and offer differing tactics, teachings?

I got to the main city and lost interest. It's more engaging than Skyrim for sure, but it still plays like Skyrim. The world wasn't interesting enough to keep me playing.

Yes. It has its weaknesses, but that mostly stems from the fact that they had very limited room to improve Skyrim's combat system.

The story is one of the best I've seen in a RPG for the last few years though. That most of the team consists of (however experienced) modders rather than industry veterans is rather telling.
