Pirate it, or better yet, pirate the PS2 version and emulate it. Capcom screwed over Clover studios and then repeatedly handed off the rights for the game to shitter studios who butchered it and ruined it. The PC version supposedly even cuts the ending credits short just to lop off a bit that makes a reference to Clover studios.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't try to find some way to remove the actual clover objects from the game itself in the later releases. Imagine that instead of the clover popping out when dug up, you just get that C from Capcom's logo on a stem.

I played the PS3 HD version like 3 years ago, first time seriously. I was disappointed as fuck. if you thought Zoldo was a mindless romp, this game is 10x worse with all the boring ass, gay cutscenes. you fight one of the bosses like 3 times and it's just as fucking stupid the last time as the first. the art was the only thing they nailed. a ridiculously missed opportunity that /v/irgins fap over to the present day

Okami is everything wrong with Aonuma Zelda, but amplified. Those fucking mandatory minigames and the brush drawing were really pissing me off, some shapes you could draw even while drunk while others were really finicky. And the "puzzles"; you know how in Zelda you have those puzzles like "light four torches" where you would have to be retarded not to figure it out? In Okami it's the same, except this time they don't even let you try, they tell you the solution right away, just in case you actually are retarded.

The wii version looks better and runs better. You just have to take the time to remap your controller to the appropriate wiimote actions all of which can be done from the dolphin emulator.

As the only person who appears to have played the PC version, mouse + kb controls are really nice only downside is I don't think the controls are rebindable? I don't quite recall. You brush with the mouse as expected so it's just like the wii version, you could almost call it the definitive edition, if not for capcoms fuckery.

Problem with that is it still won’t emulate the stick sensitivity so I don’t think there’s much of a point in going that route. Really I just like the ability to walk at times. It’s a weird hang up but I still like it, though it’s not something I absolutely need.

There's no point in playing on dolphin if you're using kb+m since the PC port already does everything dolphin does except for controller support? Even then, not being forced to run steam just to play your game is a pretty decent bonus, also I vaguely recall that the wii version menus were navigable with the wii-mote, which would mean you could navigate menus with kb+m in dolphin, but I could be wrong.

You don’t have to run steam at all with the pirated version, you just lose the ability to use a controller, so if you’re going to play it on mouse and keyboard anyways there’s really no reason to emulate the wii version since the pc version is optimized for pc.

You're not entirely wrong, but that's still plenty of grounds for just playing the wii port since dolphin is generally a good emulator. It would also allow for easy rebinding and controlling with m+kb and a controller simultaneaously, so all you'd need to do is put one down and pick up the other to swap control method.
