Finally done with the holy trinity but I'm curious about one thing.
Was ace combat 4 supposed to be more difficult? I played 4 and 5 on normal and when I felt I knew the ropes I did Zero on hard but for some reason none of the other games had me sweating bullets like Yellow 13's fight, it was undeniably the most difficult mission for me and the most personal for some reason.
Now that I'm done with these should I move on to the god tier list? (speaking of which I don't have the charts, could one of you please supply)
What's your favorite mission?

after getting the English patched version of 3 I noticed that turning is really fucking stiff now, is this normal with the starter planes or do I have to do it as I tilt the plane sideways? its a bit complicated now since the PSP lacks L2/R2 buttons and I would have to remap things around

It's a safe investment and i don't see many reasons to worry. The dev already got funding through Unreal too and they're against feature creep. What you see right now is what you'll get in the full game but with more planes, missions and voiceovers.
Also, with the exception of Ace Combat there is little to no competition in the genre, so it's reasonable to expect fans to pick either game. AC7 might even lose sales because of Denuvo.

It feels a bit more weighty and restrictive in movement. AC3 was extremely weighty and I guess fairly realistic in the flight model, and they wanted to dial that back a bit and return to more of an arcade feel. AC5 and 0 just went full arcade feel, loosened up the flight a lot.

No fix for this other than to play in software mode, which isn't that hard as long as your CPU is at least a 2600k or better. You should be in cockpit or HUD mode anyway you filthy casual.
>the ground is glitchy
Turn on mipmapping, if you don't have the option then update your ancient PCSX2 install (https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/).
>and sometimes the HUD just disappears so you can't even see what you are locked on to.
Not sure about this one but again software mode should fix it.
>>15100236
You might be able to run in software mode actually, best bet is if you set the preset slider to a faster setting and enable MTVU for some extra multi-threading. Also if you are in software mode, the video section has a threads option that should be set to a value that is equal to your total number of threads minus two. So if you have 8 threads then set it to 6, for example.
Hardware mode will further improve your chances of emulating it, but AC4 will have unfixable graphics issues, but 5 and 0 should run perfectly. Might want to stick to native resolution though since your GPU probably doesn't pack enough punch (and higher resolutions make the HUD look like ass anyway).

Because honestly, it has the most memorable story out of all of them. The characters actually connect to the player, and in more ways than just sucking your dick every waking moment like in AC4 or shitting bricks at the mere mention of your name like in ACZ. AC5 is the strongest argument of the story being one of the best aspects of the game (AC3 being a close second), no matter how cheesy it is. It just grows on you eventually.

It's a rogue like in the sense that no two levels are ever the same the map is made up of hexagonal pieces which are randomly generated each time hence the enemies are different. Has permanent and one life upgrades, but once you've got the hang of it its just fun for like 5-10 mins at a time.
Still worth a pirate though
