What are some games where I control my character directly but can also summon a relatively small (1~3) amount of creatures just as powerful as I am, and, optionally, control them as well?

Basically I want games like Devil Summoner duology for PS2, real time combat included.

I like SMT's aesthetics, but am allergic to turn-based JRPG combat. Some anon recommended me these and I absolutely loved them.

Is there something similar?
