Microsoft lost their momentum and goodwill by bumblefucking their way past losing hundreds of millions of dollars on RROD fuckups only to start closing down development on worthwhile games and pushing Kinect horseshit. Microsoft still had the upperhand for most of the gen, but technically Sony ended up selling more units and having more games by the end. They still got their shit pushed in by Nintendo, for some reason people don't like to count the Wii as a "real" console - so it doesn't count… I guess?
