First thing I want to ask is whether it is even possible to know that FF15 was a success or a failure financially. Like did they make profit on it?

Knowing how japan does things, they were having tremendous numbers of people on a payroll for a decade, including celebs for voice acting and paying for advertising and shilling on top of that.

Just how much did it cost to make FF15 and how much did they earn from it?

Now FF7R was in production for how long? 3 years now? It will probably be another 3 years as well. Do they really expect it to make profit?

Between SJW craze dying down and them still not showing render of Tifa, we all know that waifufags is at least 60% of the market, if not more, and Sqeenix should know this and wait for dust to settle, but if it doesn't and Tifa has smaller boobs and/or less sexy outfit, do they even account for potential losses?

Bottom line will FF7 Remake kill sqeenix or make it bigger than china, bigger than heaven and even bigger than allah?

Probably not. But then again that shit was going for ¥10,000 before the release so square definitely jewed all the Fujoshis and the OL's on the price of that game.

Heck, the PC version is like ¥8,500 right now.

What you gotta remember about japan is that the main product isn't the moneymaker, it's an advert. What makes the money is the merchandising, the anime, the license ads, the gatcha mobage, the pachinko machines, the theme cafe's. That's what sets them apart from the US devs who rely on the game itself to make the money.

Shame that normalfags have adopted some of their views on feminism, sexuality and politics in media, and that they still have a vicious stranglehold on media outside Japan (but even Japan won't survive against the social pressure that will come during the 2020 Olympics. Censorship for them will be at an all time high). Also, I have doubts about Tifa's attractiveness in this game if they go for the overly realistic look.

Yes. They'll make a lot of mullah from merican otakufags and KHfags, but they will have spent so much money on this trainwreck (especially on celebrities) that any money they get will hardly cover production. Either way, good riddance. Hopefully they'll start selling IPs and sell Dragon Quest to a more loving company, but that's just me being overly optimistic there.

Apparently they're having a hard time finding third party companies to work with for the remake. I don't know if this is because of 15's troubled development or something else but I wouldn't seriously expect this game to come out for another 4 or 5 years if at all.

If the volume of product sold is low enough you can basically get away with it.

Doujins are a niche cottage industry for otaku fags, most people who read manga don't even bother with that shit, they just buy the anthology magazines at the store like normalfags.

Porn Doujins however are basically fair game. The company does have grounds to take legal action but they're going to have to explain to a judge why the Doujin's scat-loving gay furry noctus is like their noctus and frankly that could hurt the company's image and the character they're trying to defend.

The remake was never in production to begin with. They created a video to show off during E3 2015 and that was it. As people's interest went up, they rushed to create anything with the engine from 15 to show up as the "gameplay from the remake". You can see it in the way that they are releasing as little finished parts as possible. That is because there is almost nothing done. And even the "gameplay" videos might as well be pre-rendered videos and not actual real time gameplay.

As for FF 15, one way to be sure about how it flopped is the former declaration of a higher up from Square: "We will remake Final Fantasy 7 only when we are in great need of money".

It will probably kill Square.
