The 7th Guest. I'm painfully close to the end, and despite the fact that multiple guides insist that the microscope puzzle is optional, I can't get down the final hallway to the knives puzzle. According to the map the lab is the only unsolved thing so far. Considering the rest of the quality in these FAQs, I'm honestly not surprised they got this wrong as well. only using the FAQs as guides so far, the puzzles haven't been too too bad until this god forsaken microscope blob game

To the last one there's a digitized voice that announces your feats at the end of each level (all humans saved, secret level unlocked), but it isn't annoying, it's mostly there so you don't have to take your eyes of the enemies to know if you've scored a bonus. The game itself is great, it's one of the better twin-sticks I've played. There's a few balance problems on the first level on the high difficulty, but there's no flaw to the controls or enemy behavior or anything like that.
As for the oversaturation thing, there's a few filters available that either mute the colors or desaturate them entirely so that only the enemies are colorized.

Trying out new playstyles in different scale battles is interesting and it is quite different each time tbh. and other times it is fun as hell to get into a d-day large scale battle. Crashes on Linux and Windows and occasional failures to post due to trying to get my RAM up to the advertised speeds (2x8GB 3200 MHz 16 CAS I think). I returned all the BIOS settings to default and then only re-overclocked my CPU (Ryzen 1700 3.9 GHz) and underclocked my RAM. I think at least one stick might have a slight issue. I can't be bothered to pay $200 just for a replacement though, so I'll have to deal with slower speeds for now while the system is relatively stable.

Careful of DS3, BB is that but better. 3 has a lot less focus on the shields, and much more focus on the rolls but fails a bit at connecting the styles of both games; as well as a slightly more incoherent plot since there were some major shifts just pre-launch (eg Yhorm was supposed to by Gundyr (hence the cinematic); Gundyr was supposed to be Oceiros; Abyss Watchers were before Irthyll and not Carthus and Pontiff Sulyvahn was supposed to be the final hidden big bad boss after a fight with Aldritch in the Profaned Capital (hence the gold down there and the connection to the Abyss/preists).
DLC as usual though is top tier. I recommend doing Ringed City first and Ashes second, since Gael feels like the plot finale, Freide is definitely the gameplay finale if you are one of the people who just seem to click with Midir the Dragon

Not even a lorefag, just need to see for myself and think about it. For hardware's sake, I am and forever will be about 4 years behind everyone in games. I don't usually go for mods until I've exhausted the vanilla. Part of me just dislikes ice worlds, viking culture in games, and fantasy games in general. I usually just like to explore and try and discover things on my own and see the efforts of quality that were put in, so I get something out of the game in that regard. I am trying to come to my own conclusions and I haven't got my finger down on it yet, though the simplified leveling up system is insulting from the get go.

Then glory kills themselves can teleport you to enemy from a meter or two away, especially if you're in the air, and eventually they get stale and boring to execute because on higher difficulties you have to glory kill everything, and watching those shitty bethesda animations becomes the most boring thing in the game. Its a game that is based on being not satisfying to kill by shooting things, and instead constantly motivating player to glory killing.
Its like the game is actually anti-gun, and wants you to finish literally everything by hands. Press F to shiny thingies - THE GAME.

I started developing skill just by repeating things to myself as I play, and I suggest you copy that. Because if you think about it, when you play something like basketball, if you want to throw a ball into the hoop, you don't say "I need to move my hand x centimeters and apply y force". Your brain "knows" how to calculate those things. You just need to say "I want to score". FPS works the same - you just need to understand what constitutes good aim.

I literally mean still- your dot shouldn't be jumping. It should look still and like you're moving in perfectly straight lines. Everyone tends to overaim, or underaim. However, you shouldn't be moving your sight after it locks on an enemy. Everyone moves slower when they aim down sights or stand still, or they try and run into you and hip fire so it's not necessary to move your sight the second you start aiming. Instead, learn to move your crosshair only if you have to.

The major key to sniping is learning not to panic when someone shoots at you. You take your time to aim to hit the center mass of your target- the thickest part. You take as much time as you can to aim and you should be seeing the dot over your enemy before you fire. Force yourself to breathe under pressure and do not care about dying. You can't practice sniping by flicking and trying to be fast- that's just going to reinforce/exaggerate bad habits.
The other main way you get sniper kills is through sniper duels. A sniper duel is where you shoot, you miss, you hide behind cover against a sniper who also misses and is also behind cover. Basically your goal is to memorize where the other sniper's cover ends. Most snipers are greedy and will chamber without hiding first or will move behind cover too late (client side hit detection). So as soon as you fire, memorize where the cover ends, then hide while moving as little as possible (strafe, don't crouch), then finally when you're ready to fire again, come out and shoot the location you memorized.
Other than that, memorize popular fighting spots on maps, practice moving your mouse in totally straight lines, use your wrist more, and learn how to make perfect 90 degree flick turns since that's how you'll get most hip fire kills. Finally when your aim is decent, slow down how fast you move and traverse the map- that'll instantly make you die less (but won't make you MVP unless you have the aim to wipe everyone as you go).

that's a damn good plan. The hardest part is getting into a habit of things, but once you get that down it'll come naturally. I'm working on getting fitter myself, starting with this Push-Up challenge. I've also been using a hand-grip strengthener, I'm up to 35kg on it, doing a single rep of about 40, and then a second rep until I exhaust (which wound up being about 25 or so last night). When I get to 100 in one set, i'll be bumping it up to 40kg and work up to 100 in that as well. Then I'll have to buy a stronger grip. Another great thing to do is go on a walk. Doesn't have to be anything crazy, just a good 20-30 minute walk around the neighborhood or at a park, that alone does wonders.

At that time I mostly read it for the memes since I was a /b/tard at that age- that and it was one option I had for English. Back then I just took it at face value the way the doctor in the prologue seems to, but this time (partially thanks to the annotated version I got) I can enjoy the wordplay and the way Nabokov plays with verisimilitude.
