The game could be so much more fun, if the devs finally fixed the horrible balancing and introduced more engaging game mods. The killer gameplay is fine, but having to repair generators and open exit gates all the time as a survivor can get really boring. The changes posted in the OP seem to be solid though.

I wanted F13 to win out so much in this spat about a year ago and have Savini Jason. Too bad the devs of F13 were toxic and the community was full of shitheads. DbD does two things right – core gameplay is fundamentally simple and dynamic and they revoked the right of players to talk to each other during a match.
F13 had better atmosphere and film grain though.

I agree, when it comes to balancing this game if the devs can't make it perfect and have a choice between survivors and killers being OP, it should be killers.
OP killers make it more tense (fun) for survivors and a good survivor team should still have at least one of them making it out alive every round. OP Survivors just makes being a killer a fucking chore where everyone is constantly abusing poorly thought out mechanics to keep you at bay, no tension at all.
Aside from new objectives like you mentioned, I would also welcome new ways to kill survivors other than hooks. Put some nooses on trees, let you interact with the circular saws in the lumberyard, put someone in a garbage compressor, etc.
The maps are honestly pretty boring and superfluous if you can't really interact with them. Every map has the same generators, the same lockers, the same hooks. F13 definitely got the killing right compared to this game.

The game also could use a lot more gore. Imagine if the hook wouldn´t just carry the soul away but actually tear the body of those poor survivors apart. For the game basically being a teenie slasher simulator it´s surprisingly tame and child friendly. Kinda dissapointing.

I tried this on the free weekend and it's the most boring shit imaginable, as survivor at least. Nothing but poorly implemented hide-and-seek, holding M1 over a generator and hope the rest of the cunts in the team aren't communicating outside of the game and making everything even more boring.
Killer gameplay is more fun but still terribly simplistic and clunky.

My biggest gripe with this game from the start is that its matchmaking has no connection to its progression system. People will intentionally leave a bunch of matches to keep their rank as low as possible so they only get matched with people who just started playing while they're at max level with every advantage the game has to offer.
If this game either had no progression system or proper matchmaking it could be fun but as it stands every match just feels so unbalanced that its impossible to enjoy.

Tried it out just now and the game looks like complete garbage.
In ideal conditions where 4 people connect and everyone knows the meta it should be pretty much impossible for a killer to win since 3 people can pretty much indefinitely play the war of attrition and the 4th one just tips the scale. Now when due to some luck and skill killer manages to kill 1 player the game pretty much drops into a stalemate state and the playtime of a round increases exponentially, to the point where 1 side needs to give up to move on with their live.
Now there are also rpg and item systems. Since items can practically be considered one time use only and levels aren't equal across the board throwaway games are an obvious choice for efficiently making use of maxed out characters with items you wouldn't want to lose. Yes, the game is pretty much always in a ranked matchmaking, but you can always try to arrange a 5 team lobby of friends to abuse the system. Valid counter-argument to this would be "why bother?", and the answer to that is if you don't bother the game comes down to what fucktards you are getting randomly teamed up with and I bet everyone reasonable knows how this turns out in similar games like dota or cs.
Only people that can tolerate such fuckfest are normalfags, since for them it just boils down to playing with friends.
And that's ignoring an overly simplistic base gameplay. Survivors and the killer play kick the can, until survivors activate 6 generators. That's it. Every map is the same in terms of objectives and the outcome is barely influenced by the set of personal strategies applied.
