Whats the lamest game you put time in? Get lost in a tiger electronic game? Develop an unhealthy obsession with a Tamagochi?
For me it was 'Urban Dead' as a teen way back in the early 2000's. It was literally a text based 'mmo' of sorts that is basically 'do 5 things, you are out of energy, come back tomorrow or pay 5 bucks'. Some real adventure quest tier shekel farming. I played it for free and for some reason it kept me coming back. Maybe because i used my imagination but looking back it looks so damn silly.

A lot of my time was spent on pic related and similar things, however. My father sold them alongside bootleg chinese NESes. There were so many variants and each had a different amount of games. I just remember that past 16 or so, it was all various versions of Tetris, some of them with bombs like Tetris 2. My favorite was the tank racing game though, that shit was great.

I picked Urban Dead back up so I could waste time at my desk job. Now that I'm older and I have the attention span to remember to play this once a day, it was pretty disappointing.
I wish I could go back in time and tell myself about MUDs which were pretty much what I imagined this game was like.
Anyway My lamest game is pic related. When I was younger I played this shit front to back dozens of times. I'd finish it and just start it right back up like it was the tightest shit.
In reality it has some really fucking basic beat em up gameplay with terrible vehicle sections and the occasional megazord fight that plays like an early 3d browser game. I didn't care, it had the titanium ranger as an unlockable and that was the coolest thing ever.
I can't even bring myself to play it again out of nostalgia. I know it will just destroy me.

Back when I was a teenager, a friend insisted I play some text-only online game whose name I forget, about building up four kinds of troops (infantry, air, tanks, turrets) and having them fight each other. The main gimmick was that you had to look at ads to recruit troops. Basically no "gameplay" at all. I wound up playing for my friend a couple of times, which got me reported for using multiple accounts.
I'd still rather play that again than the shitfest that is pic related. I got it in a bundle and played it for several hours, literally out of disbelief. I kept thinking "This game won awards and all, when is it actually going to start instead of this retarded tutorial or whatever it is?"

Mine is TibiaME, the phone version of Tibia. It was a content-barren piece of shit game full of pajeets, but I played it religiously 8 hours a day with two grills I met ingame, mainly because we were the only westerners on the whole server. Pic related shows the quality art direction and the game's depth: you only had two classes, Mage and Warrior, the Warrior was OP and boring to play, the Mage was terrible but slightly less tedious. I kinda miss those two, one of them was a 14-year old german loli, but even if I found them again they wouldn't like who I have become. She is probably a fully grown thot now, but I hope she is doing OK anyway.

OP, Holy shit. I forgot the name of this game years ago. I don't have the urge to play it, but the fact that I forgot its name when me and my friends were all so into it has pissed me off for years.
There was another text-based game I played for a few years before life finally got in the way. It was a game in which you chose one of four races to belong to, and you started with a solar system of a few undeveloped planets amidst a much larger galaxy populated with a load of other people. Gameplay was minimal, everything was just intense text-based resource management and combat was just a galactic game of checkers, but the real depth was in the diplomacy between players. Even between races, there were a load of treaties and non-aggression pacts to insure the peace and people established large and developed empires and federations. I ended up starting in a far-off corner of a developing section of the Galaxy and ended up getting promoted to Officer and then Wing Commander of a pretty big faction. I opened a store, dealt with newfags being newfags, and led a couple of successful raids against opposing races to seize territory. The leader ended up taking notice and sending me a pile of ships to help me kill more things… which was a Godsend as the only way to really build battleships was to take ad surveys to get points. Fuck, I don't think I have the time to invest in it again, but I would really like to find that old piece of crap game again.

I remember some stoner back in high school recommending I pick that up because it wasn't blocked at school, so I did for a while but forgot about it. Came back to it a couple times later, a few years in between each attempt, mostly because I just liked watching numbers go up. Eventually I'd become too big to not be targeted by someone who'd been there first and had thousands of ships, and I'd inevitably be blasted into the stone age, whereupon I'd quit entirely. I need to learn how to not be autistic about numbers so I stop getting sucked in to these kinds of things.

I probably need to explain why The Hobbit is the lamest game. It isn't a bad platformer. There are some fun parts. In fact, you can find people who say it is one of their favorite games. The problem is that the character design, animations, and sound effects are so lame that it makes the game unenjoyable to play. It feels like one of those gifts a relative would give a kid who is a fan of the book. That kid's fandom influenced his appraisal of the game and it became the best game he ever played.

Really couldn't say I don't remember. But most recent one I'd say is Mario Oddysey. While not entirely lame, it was incredibly boring and offered no challenge. I had to create my own challenges and I reached moons by doing hat jumps and crazy maneuvers. All the charm, creativity and fun from the Gamecube era is lost, the only IP from Nintendo I really care about now is Splatoon and the sequel is trash, no hope, not even for that game, I hope to God the first game doesn't die anytime soon because I'm an idiot and only played 60 hours when it came out in 2015.
