The H2EK, or Halo 2 Editing Kit. Was basically lobotomized on H2V's launch, most of the stuff shown off was either locked down or missing outright. Some people think it's because MS saw what people did with Custom Edition's HEK, which allowed even porting of H2 maps into the H:CE engine, albeit with tweaks.

Reminder it was Gearbox that did that and the reason was Halo 1 natively has no netcode and as such they couldn't even make online co-op. They're basically trying to do what microsoft does now by strong arming developers into using them because their popular code library has made microsoft a defacto monopoly for consumer grade computers, but here's the catch, Valve isn't even big enough to be a monopoly despite being available on every common OS.
