Persona 5, KH1.5/2.5 and FFXII are all decent games OP, you have some good taste.

I would recommend the one which would last you the longest though which would either be KH since its 4 games and two movies in one package.

DQXII is looking to be as good as fuck but it comes out in september so dont even bother with the wait when theres a few other good games out there already.

Out of those 4 games, Persona 5 easily. If you haven't then play YS or TiTs series, they're pretty good JRPGs also. Not sure if Tokyo Xanadu is any good, someone else has to vouch for it. I'd say to steer away from recent Final Fantasy titles and Neputina series, both are hot garbage, and FFXII is alright with all the enhancements but you can easily pirate that on PC, if you're willing to download 40gb+ because Square Enix doesn't know what compression means and they had to bloat a remastered edition of a ps2 game with 10x the storage space. If you're super thirsty for JRPGs, you can also just get a 3DS if you haven't already, that's a very good JRPG machine and you can easily get games for free with freeshop and a bit of homebrewing.

Chances are, if those aren't on markdown, the publishers involved are still going to charge full price (or close enough to it) rather than try to compete against a usually-cheaper preowned aftermarket. If you've got money stuck on a PSN account, might be better to look for games you can't get at physically in English anyhow (which is another problem, but not the same).

Why they don't bother to compete is something I wonder about, whether it's just to make flash sales down the line look all the better, or if the occasional unaware or lazy full price sale makes up for potential loss from not lowering the price as physical copies get lower as well.

The reason that the previous MH games had so much content is that they could just copy/paste monsters from the previous games into the newer ones while adding only a few brand new monsters, similar to a pokemon game. MHW has so little content because it started fresh because of new hardware/software. But because its on a ps4 and not ps2 level hardware anymore the game can pull off a bunch of shit the previous games had no chance of being able to do. Now it does things in a different way from the previous games in a way that I still managed to get 260+ hours in the game.

Some for better or for worse but its still pretty damn fun.

I think there was a fan retranslation in the works that went on hiatus out of respect for the potential that NISA might actually fix it since Falcom was breathing down their necks. Not sure for certain if it's restarted since clearly NISA fucked the dog yet again, but I kind of doubt there's much of a fan-translation/hacking scene in particular to the PS4 at this point in time. Most likely it would be the PC and Vita versions that see a patch as of now if you ask me.

Yes. Monster Hunter world just suffers from a ton of weird choices that don't really mesh with the mechanics they're forced to keep because it's a monster hunter game.

The writing in the game is just atrocious, all the antagonists are paper thin (with the exception of Shido, but even he doesn't get any prior motivation). For example, Ryuji never grows as a character after his arc in the very beginning of the game, and he's just used as the joke character from there on out and is just there to say dumb shit. Which is weird, because he's actually does some pretty smart things in the first few hours of the game, like take pictures of the cognitions in Kamoshida's palace or interrogating kids in the school to get dirt on Kamoshida. The MC doesn't tell him to do this and Morgana doesn't tell him to do it either; he's smart enough to do it himself. Yet later in the game all he does is scream about whatever's happening then the rest of the cast has to fill him in, which he usually replies with "I still don't get it". Even his confidant is stuck in the first few events of the game, so he doesn't really get much more development there besides tying things up with the track team.

I could write similar things about most of the cast, except Yusuke because he's pretty fleshed out as a character in the main plot and his confidant. Besides the writing the gameplay is solid, the music and sound design is great, and it's got fantastic art direction. But the plot and the writing are just so bad which drags down the entire experience.

the biggest complaints are casuals saying its too hard and steep learning curve. its a very deep game and the difficulty ramps up well… alittle steep. worth a try if you like that type of combat.

tales of zesteria is easy combat. worth a pirate if you just want an rpg. i liked most of the characters. leila is waifu material.

omega quintet is good if you like neptunia games.

persona 5 is unique and the combat is satisfying. alittle easy and requires strategy and remembering enemy weaknesses. a guide would make the game too easy. playing it blind is fun if youre not the type to be upset about missing something. replaying is tedious because of how much dialogue they force you to repeat, but i enjoyed my single, incomplete playthrough. just 1 tip if you will play blind. beat main mission first in as few days as you can so you have the rest of the time to meet people and enhance stats/relationships. dont wait until the last few days to hit the deadline (i thought beating the mission would lead to a time warp and skip a month of free time)

i personally hated kingdom hearts so that choice is yours.
