The two games are worth at least one playthrough, even better if you're into a bit of speed running. You also get stuff like pic related as a reward for clearing a level. As for the gameplay itself, its enjoyable for a puzzle platformer though not too difficult save for the last few stages. Soundtrack is killer too, for both games.

No worries. All the cinematics, starting in Exoddus, start using the Pilot's mask, which has the two defined eyes, though the in-game models still had the visor. I honestly like the MKX outfits: I get that the stripper bikinis are classic and all, but Kitana and Mileena's MKX attire looks much cooler and fits into the whole asian-fantasy metal album cover aesthetic mortal kombat has way more. Definitely worth a try. The original is a technically impressive game, with interesting mechanics and plays pretty well too. Risky's Revenge is similar but significantly better graphically. Pirate's Curse scraps the genie dance mechanic stuff in favour of her using Risky's pirate items (hat lets her glide, pistol lets you hit distant switches, etc). I haven't played Half-Genie Hero but apparently it's mediocre.

It started in cutscenes of Exoddus. In gameplay, all the walking sligs had the mono visor, the flying ones had the Pilot's mask. When they got to Munch's Oddysee, the Sligs all had the pilot's mask, then when New n Tasty was made ,they all have the pilot's mask.
Allegedly the excuse is that the visor "didn't have binocular vision, the pilot's one does", and going by how Glukkon undercut everything, the red light likely didn't.
However, upon looking at the concept art, they were always intended to have the two eyes, but it seems that they had issues getting them to "read" correctly during gameplay and settled on them being mono visors.
