Newfags aside, a huge issue on this board has been low effort OPs and the shitposting they invite. If all OPs were crafted to incite actual discussion rather than consisting of one to three short and vague questions that start most discussion threads, the board would be better off. I unironically think a minimum post length and a rule forbidding informationless padding to reach that length would drastically improve discussion quality on this board. Since the mods seem to vehemently disapprove of banning newfaggotry, I believe this is the best way to raise the discussion standard. For questions that are too small to fill that requirement, we could reestablish QTDDTOT. Most generals would be unaffected since they already have copypastas, but if you think recurring threads that start with one liners should still be allowed (LOL, waifu, 4am, webm, etc.), then maybe an exception could be added to the "no padding" rule.

I'm just thinking that 4am is not necessarily more about video games but about more video games generally. Giving it a kind of quantity advantage, since both are not quality threads to begin with that doesn't matter.
