around half a year ago it was bundled with ICEY as the same deal, they're just using more popular games this time. The question still stands: was the steam controller really the only thing that gained some sort of audience when they were attempting that big push to linux?

I considered taking the ICEY deal but I just don't have any reason to have the steam link. I imagine most people don't either.

The thing costs a dollar on its own but its shipping (~10-15 dollars) that takes the brunt of the cost.

The Steam Link isn't bad so long as you keep it in the same room and hardwire it directly to your router. Just exit out of that big picture bullshit for a direct feed to the desktop, and then you can stream full screen emulators directly to your TV.

Is there a guide to get it to work to any degree? The turn your gamepad into a mouse (feature) can't be disabled. When I tried adding a nonsteam game and launching it through steam, it just crashed and fucked my monitor's resolution.

I have one, it's basically a Remote Desktop Client but as a tiny set-top box. I use it to play vidya with a controller in my living room while my desktop computer is somewhere else in the house. I got it 95% off during the last Steam sale and it came with an HDMI cable so it wasn't a bad deal I guess.

I bought this piece of shit for $1 when it went on sale at FUCKING GAMESTOP. Does what it's suppose to do, let you stream your steam games, and nothing else. I've got all my devices setup with a wired connection so I have no idea how shit the wireless is on it but I've seen other people say it's trash if you want to use WIFI with it in different room from your PC. It's a failed experiment and they've got a warehouse full of them. Unfortunately Valve has the money to bankroll a million shit ideas and never got bankrupt.
