Which songs and sounds have you noticed being used in other media?

There was a time when a news channel in my country loved using Resident Evil and Silent Hill songs for their shitty investigations and documentaries. I also remember embed related being used for some Christian motivational play of sorts featuring Ted DiBiase and Sting about not doing drugs.

A news channel here would use the Crysis 2 theme to present "shocking" stuff

Another news channel would use the Dovahkin theme when the gossip show would begin with the set up controversy of two prefabricated celebs

I assume it's usually small studios or local news that does this stuff. They'd only get found out if someone reports it, and to be honest who cares if they do.

I've seen commercials using Sims 2 music before. Also heard WoW sound effects in many things. They might actually just be stock sound effects, though.

A TV channel here uses Half-Life music and sounds all the damn time. Another channel occasionally uses Metal Gear music.

A lot of the sounds HL uses are from a sound library. The music however is a different story.

I know about that and that HL music was composed based on samples. It's just that the same channel occasionally used other games' music as well. I can remember UT1999, RE4 and even Gothic 3 being used.
