I immediately skip excitement when I see a cool new game.

Instead I think of the worst case, ignore it completely, and wait for /v/'s recommendation. There's so many factors for it to fuck up in the current age, even Yooka Laylee looked promising, and then a fucking month before release it shit the bed out of nowhere.

Reminder that RARE exists since 1985 and from 1985 until the release of Donkey Kong Country in 1994 they were known producers of garbage and shovelware hiding behind the LJN Toys, Ltd. logo.

After 1994 they managed to produce decent Games for 7 years, but in 2002 they returned to their roots with Star Fox Adventure and have stayed on that path since then.

Don't wish for OLD RARE to return, because the monkey paw will make LJN times RARE reappear and not the late 90s RARE that made the Games you love.

As far as a side scrolling brawler I like the looks of it, I enjoyed Double Dragon Neon when it was released and if this can be a entertaining little game I can get behind it.

However the people from Rare making this is just a little bit of a downer, I would have expected something more from them.

At the very least I want those fuckers to start doing the Conker commentary again, they haven't touched their youtube channel in years.

I don't know why Microsoft mismanaged Rare like they did. They had a third Banjo and Kazooie game pretty much ready to go and they made them make that fucking terrible car game instead and then had them go make shitty kinect games until I assume they were all fired or quit.

Honestly, Rare was always a bit of a hit and miss company. They had a lot of skill, and a lot of creativity, but sometimes they had downright stupid ideas, like having to collect every tribal to see the end of Jet Force Gemini, or sacrificing performance to make unnecessarily large levels for Banjo Tooie, or making it so players could hurt each other in Battletoads co-op.

That game looks pretty fun to me, actually. What's the problem?
