Why is the Patriot such a useless lump of garbage? It seems like the shields were a downgrade from the Tomahawk. Also, post HERCS.

Getting the joystick to work properly is a bitch and a half, too. It always seems like the only way I can get it to function properly is by turning off the rudder controls.

Starsiege did have great music, but the controls really were a let-down. The vehicles had no sense of weight to them, and the weaponplay felt floaty and imprecise.

I don't know what you mean by the controls. They felt perfectly fine to me and were very customizable (couldn't get my joystick to cooperate though).

Anyone know how to get the NoCD patch to work in Starsiege? Dropped the patch into the top directory and how I can't even navigate the default menu.

I was never able to get that to work, even getting the free version of Starsiege that got released a few years ago was a pain in the ass to set up

I don't think it was the drivers or the joystick itself. My joystick works in other games just fine. My guess is that it has to do with Windows 7 and Starsiege itself.

my biggest turnoff to Earthseige was how lame the mechs look. how do you make a mech look that bad??

EarthSiege 2 Is worth a play but is a bitch to get running.

ES1 is worst than ES2 but will run because of Dosbox
