Sounds like a waste of time, if you're talking about throwable items, if you're walking about things like the broadswords, then I agree with you. Game seems pretty short, but requires a lot of replays to get through it, I just finished Level 2. All enemies have patterns that you need to exploit. Your basic skeleton moves every other turn towards you, with a blatant cue for when they do. Bats move a random direction every other turn. Just be observant and eventually you'll cotton onto the way they work but it gets messy when you have multiple enemies, and especially some of the later mini-bosses.
