Forget the antifa and /leftypol/ shit, that's small time shit compared to
ARENA SHOOTER DEVS THINKING IT'S OKAY TO HOLD A MONOPOLY ON SERVERS HOLY FUCK ARE YOU JOKING?
I want to be wrong, but without spending twenty californian commiecoins, I can't come to any conclusion other than this one.

I haven't worked past E2M3 yet, but that level oozed HL1 from all pores. Some of the screenshots the devs have posted have made Episode 3 to look very Quake-like, with a big cathedral looking shot, so I wonder what else they're going to do for that one.
>as there's no hitscan to speak of.
If the black dog goat things from Episode 1 don't have hitscan projectiles, then they're just really fucking fast and close to it. Not that it's hard to kill them before hand, but those enemies are really my only complaint, the rest of the enemies having projectiles is refreshing compared to other games.

Because the Quake modders who make their own textures are either a) really good, or b) cheating and using Quake 3 BSPs or something to circumvent the pallate limitations, and the ones who aren't are using the really good textures that are already in the game. For whatever it's worth, I can say that I think they've gone a good-enough job with enemy silhouettes, I don't think I've ever found myself confusing one enemy for another at a glance, and that's the single most important thing in a shooter like this.
