I found alternate download links for these, however there's a lot of content and I have no idea of their general quality.

Then they are not worth it and creators are cunts that just make you post so you will watch more of their ads if you don't have adblocker. Or to increase potential sale revenue of the site because of increased activity on it. But what's funny those kind of rules only lead to spam and people typing loads of bullshit in every part of your forum just to type it fast. Or worse - bots. Then admins start complain about bots and create even more shitty registration rules or systems to post.

Knew a modeling website like that once.

Because a lot of the mods on gunetwork rip models from other games, like the legion one OP posted takes tons of assets from Ryze: Son of Rome.

Without permission from the Devs, like how CD Project Red let people use models from Witcher 2 in Skyrim mods, it can lead to takedowns and possible copyright lawsuits.

So the Nexus, having fairly heavy traffic, is under a fair bit of scrutiny from people keeping an eye on things to prevent assets they made from being used.
