Funky can't ignore all hazards. He can land on spikes, but can't walk or roll on them. Plus, Funky is the fastest out of all of them, can double jump, and have infinite rolls and underwater spins. He's perfect for just regular timed runs, but there will be other times for running with the regular characters.
