Yeah, but it's not like he remembers the pain. Each time is the first time to him, so it's not like having a wound reopened, but just opened for the first time each time.

I feel like in-between all the funny writing, likeable characters, etc., people tend to forget that Ace Attorney is a series about murder.

You’re pretty dumb if you aren’t expecting some dark shit. The series can actually be legit terrifying at certain points.
