Is there any game worse than the forklifting segments of Shenmue? Who thought it would be a good idea to force the player to live out the life of a wage slave for the last third of game? This is the type of job that can drive many men to depression in real life and here it is in a fucking video game. Doesn't help that the forklift controls like shit and the harbour is full of people who get your way. Worst of all, you can only save at the end of the day, so if you were like me and liked to save after sleeping, you'll be forced to play through another day of mindless work before you can get another chance.

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had playing a game.

I never drove one, but I reckon there is a lot of room for getting gud at it, the skill cap is high (doing things fast, efficiently, safely and in a neat manner).

I enjoyed the working part of Shenmue, you did your shift, went to train and then played some random minigame before going to sleep.

I sometimes had to drive a small forklift at a job I had a while ago. Shit was pretty fun to be honest. You just gota get used to steering with the rear wheel.

This. I usually clamored for the forklift position while I did some warehouse work, shit's easy and fun when they design the warehouse around driving them. The issues come up with older warehouses but we still made due.

The forklift mission in San Andreas was bullshit.
