It also happened the other day watching documentary on goytube about dead space 2. I thought 'god those rumours of a planet based ds3 would have been great…. wait' and the disappointment rolls in again.
Oddly FF13 sticks but that was 'the decade of lightning' so like the irish and 'the troubles' that lasted so long its going to stick i suppose.

have you touched F03 recently? i'll take fog snaking around the shells of rotting townhouses and the pathetic attempts at natural life to keep a woodland going over "this ground is green, that ground is rocky and slightly less green.
colour choice as kind of overblown and bled out but running into mansions and stuff felt more like actual places while fallout 3 will just have a single cul de sac on the middle of a highway in what was once a forest with nothing else there. no bus stops, no stores, nothing.
I think about low level world building a lot. blame rpg maker as a teen.

Fallout 3 really isn't that super incredible, its a buggy, same corridor and hallways on repeat, slow progression and youll be in pipboy healing, reapplying buffs etc on higher difficulties or camping while your VATS replenishes.
FF13 ahaha, FF has been shit since 10 was mehh mediocre but acceptable, and 9 being the last true, great masterpiece and work of art FF.
Dead space no comment, never played, never will. Looks like a shit boring game, but everyone seems to love it regardless. First game or last game, all the same. Playing New Vegas now and it's not that good. Atmosphere is bland, boring and not that original. I thought this game was supposed to be way better than F03. It's supposed to have better writing and characters, but I feel like it's almost worse.

Mass Effect is a dull repetitive mess of unreal engine ugly, but it also could be engaging. The talks with Saren, Sovereign, and Vigil. Breaking up the action in a mission by introducing new characters you can interact with and learn about. Ilos with its thudding heartbeat.

Fallout 4 is an improvement over Fallout 3. Pretty much everything is better or the same (eg better gunplay, same pants-on-head retarded story). For the most part that just goes to show how bad FO3 was though. It's also technically true to say NV never got a sequel.

New Vegas was a standalone game done under a license by an unrelated studio. Which is good in it's own right.
It will probably never get a sequel becouse it turned out to be better than any of his produced games.
