The next banner is a scam gatcha, so the race goes on before that as a last attempt to pull Christmas Characters.
Let's start from the front!
Account 4 slows down, taking a breather after an awesome race. Account 5 notices and uses the occasion to demonstrate that he's still on top of it, with a fucking Alexiel pull, someone is gonna get spammed with friend requests.
Account 1 takes a nice step ahead with Dirt la FIlle, and is matched by Account 3's Christmas Clarisse pull, both of them rejoin the fight for the 3rd place.
Account 10 starts to lag behind, with 3 days of nothing, it's got to wake up soon if it doesn't want to give up its claim to a spot on the podium.
For some reason I feel like Account 9 is cheating, two hundred fucking rolls? That's double the amount of everyone else, hell it's quadruple the amount of 7's rolls! At least it's getting what it deserves: shit.
Accounts 7 and 8 are going hand in hand, enjoying each other companies instead of racing the others.
Account 6 is still being a slut in the man's bathrooms and will someone please head over and poke Account 2 with a stick? It's not been standing still way too long, I fear it might have headed towards greener pastures.

Another reset, another step of the race, and here we are again to take a look at our partecipants!
This Light rate up turned up to be a total lie, as most of the accounts remain in complete darkness.
The 10 draw rolls almost everywhere don't give any of the first 7 accounts a fighting chance, and they all maintain their previous positions.
But as everyone stumbles around in the darkness, Account 9, the sly motherfucker was born in it, molded by it, and from its sleeve pulls 3 SSRs from a single 10 roll, not only gaining the lead, but putting dinstance between itself and the others!
Something is definitely amiss here, he's siphoning all the luck!
Accounts 8 and 10 definitely smell something fishy and they try to fight it with two great pulls, Ferry for the 8 and Jeanne d'Arc for the 10.
Accounts 4, 5 and 10 are going to have to fight extra hard to unmask the 9's tricks if they still want a shot at the podium.
Accounts 8, 3 and 1 need a small miracle to get back in the race.
Account 7 is feeling lonely now that Account 8 found a new waifu and left it.

Not really, she sinergizes very well with Vira. If you have both of them and play Lucha with tag team you can absolutely destroy everything with 6 turns of guaranteed TA.
And her second skill has a lot of worth, especially on light. Not to mention her crit up for the whole party passive.

Other elements can do so with a half developed gird. Light needs maxed out swords and Song's crit booster to even hope to near the cap. It is far and away the worst element. It is completely devoid of attackers outside of Lucio and good up time/good modifier DA/TA outside of Elysian. Most of their characters are support focused but none of them are exceptional at it like Korwa and since most of them have some variant of light attack up or attack up many of them are redundant. The light meme character, Ferry, restricts when you can ougi if you want to use her third skill and since light wants to ougi as often as possible for crits it is only useful very early on or during strike time. Even during strike time it requires you to take up a slot with clear because again, no ouji, no crit, no damage. She has useless first skill. Her second skill is nice, but not worth two dead skills most of the time. Most of light's other characters are varying degrees of mediocre with the handful that are not complete trash merely being ok, limited, or locked behind massive grinds to be useful.

It's a f2p friendly element, and hitting the cap barely matters when you have DATA. The modifiers for DATA aren't as bad as you imply, you just need to know when and where to use them. Unlike other elements you don't need some gimmick like enmity or a full murgleis grid to be of any use.
In the end of it all, you can't win against the nips so why even bother.

SSR Characters that buff team DA/TA in light:
Amira - 3/6 uptime, 15% DA/15% TA
Grande Vira - 1/9 uptime, 100% TA
Christmas Mary - 1/7 uptime, 100% TA
Ferry - 4/12 uptime, requires 100% meter on the whole party, 100% TA+ echos
Light Zoi has a field effect that boosts DA/TA but good luck getting her. Several light characters also have selfish DA/TA buffs such as Jeanne, Albert, Lucio, and Seruel among a few others but outside of Lucio those characters all are lacking in some aspect that makes them truly as effective selfish attackers.

What makes light relevant is the synergy between its characters, the possibility of having endless character combos (including retarded strategies such as putting SR Vermeil in the frontline with Ferry, or having SR Sophia + Vira and Nirvana to be invincible) AND having the most stupid debuff in the game.
As I always say, if you have enough chev swords you can hit hard with any character. It's a simple element that requires effort.
Light is far from a pure DMG element, but it brings more utility than any other element. I don't see you people discussing why other elements magna grids are so horrible.

Not really. You see, you can make a chev gun grid if you want to and play just as well. Besides, you can unironically use Korwa on light because of her normal buffs couple very well with the guns. (Wouldn't recomend it, but it works if you put enough effort into it).
Also, playing as gunslinger in light magna with guns is a legit option. Even light has its equivalent of a murgleis grid (though it's horrible in comparison, but hey, we tried.)

And how is that different from any other element? If you want to end-game on Fire you either need crimson fingers or eckesacks. On Dark you either have gislas/claws + zoi or don't even bother trying. And let's not forget about water and the murgleis apocalypse.
Nobody is forcing you to follow the meta, the meta will always limit your options. And this goes for any element, just use your imagination and you can build a seemingly retarded grid with a crazy character combination that actually works, and this is why Granblue is so great.
As I see it now, Earth is almost by far the best element because it offers the most options in character and grid combinations.

I use Song instead, but she has no role in the initial TA other than damage bot. What she does is provide support and DMG when the TA buffs aren't ready (after the ougi with crit buffs is enough until Vira's cooldown). You could replace the maids with any other character with a different specialty like Jeanne when soloing or Juliet when you just want a gorilla with a not horrible elemental buff, it's not all about picking one thing and making the whole party good at it, but rather having your chars cover up what the others lack. Using Lucha in particular is not good for longer fights because of the long cooldowns (unless you have nip ping and enough HP to eat ougis while autoing), but the initial damage is usually good enough. Like I said, Light isn't for shitting DPS.

A little late for the Day 7, but I'm yet to roll for day 8 so here we go.
Everyone from 1 through 6 keeps stumbling around in the dark, sxcept Avvount 7 which stubs its toe against a rainbow crystal and managed an Albert pull after 3 days of nothing.
Account 9 keeps turning the knife in the wound after having stabbed the competition, increasing the gap between itself and the nearest partecipant by 3 SSRs!
With this much advantage, and with this much luckshittery, it would appear Account 9 is the new favourite, but the race is only halfway done and there's a whole legfest to go through!
