I was at a flea market yesterday near closing and I saw a seller packing up a Neo Geo cabinet. It wasn't the full red sort, it was like on the left in this image with the stickers on the side. From what I could see of it, I think it was just a 1 cart cabinet. My dream's always been to have one of those cabinets with six slots, but this would be a good start towards collecting them if it works.
The lady packing it up saw me circling around trying to get a better look at it and she said in broken english "the video game machine 100 dollar!" I seriously considered it since I had that in my pocket. Of course, I'd have to plug it in and see if it worked first.
Assuming it works, would that be a good deal? What would I even look for in determining if it was worth that? I figured (hoped) that price might be because there was no cartridge, or just one that's not very valuable. It'd be a pretty cheap start to collecting them since there's Neo Geo carts worth more than that.
