HG/SS were remakes of the the original Gold and Silver games, the games were literally remade from scratch with newer graphics, code, etc.
This now isn't a remake, it's just a re-release/port of an older game, nothing is remade, it's literally the same game with maybe a few changes or additions here and there for it to better support the new console. Not only it's not a remake, it's certainly not a remake of a remake.
