Most games never get fulled completed. There's always something that the devs want to put in before they have to ship. With MGSV there was a whole fucking ton of shit they probably wanted to put in there.

If these trailers are anything to go by, they've already got loads of assets finished. The modern AAA trend of games taking upwards of five years to make is recent and is largely due to the inefficiency and incompetence in large 500-man development teams where people are constantly coming and going.

if you play the first 3 metal gear solid games you will see there is a rule or a golden rule of a good split between gameplay and movie, you can almost say Fukushima was the breaks of Kojima not going one extreme direction to the other extreme direction.

The game's main focus is the idea of death. You don't go back in time and try again like in most games, but rather go to different worlds whenever you die.

I would say two major detractors from the game are the briefing cutscenes where you "play" using the mk.ii and having all the globe trotting.
